Question…the 429 I have in my garage has weight reductions. PP is 532. Can I add ballast to get PP down to 501 or unable to race?

"To undo weight reduction, you have to visit the Tuning Shop, go to the Extreme tab (which is unlocked at Collector Level 7), and purchase a New Body"

You can also buy a new engine to restore to factory defaults.

I found the time to round off the week with the final Division 2 race recap. I wish I was able to do these every time, unfortunately I'll be away all next week on a trip to Ohio and back. Enjoy Snails. 🐌🐌🐌

1000006592.jpg

Lap 1: Apparently I failed to save the group photo I took, so we'll skip ahead to the action. @JamCar0ne makes an outside pass on @Mac1032763 just beyond turn 1.

1000006593.jpg

@Gusmcnasty and I both got loose coming out of turn 6 he will maintain his composure somewhat while I zip across the track to the inside wall.

1000006594.jpg

@TexHill, @racingchamp30, and @arethosetacos all make haste to get by Gus after his little slip on the exit back there.

1000006595.jpg

@arethosetacos moving into 2nd when @racingchamp30 runs a little wide and gets sucked into the grass in turn 10.

1000006596.jpg

@JamCar0ne carries a ton of speed through the esses and is in prime position to take 2nd place entering T12.

1000006597.jpg

@Mac1032763 comes through clean in 2nd while @JamCar0ne actually falls back to 3rd in turn 13.

1000006598.jpg

I make a short lived move up to 4th place.

1000006599.jpg

Lap 2: @arethosetacos is coming back strong entering the seaside tunnels and @JamCar0ne's draft isn't enough to hold him off for me.

1000006600.jpg

@CANOWORMS1 and @racingchamp30 aren't too far behind us in 6th and 7th.

1000006601.jpg

Turn 6 is a problem for me again the second time around when I tap Tacos driver rear and then give him a correction tap in the drivers front. I'll come to a near stop to make sure he gets concession, but he is able to skillfully recover from this slap sideways slide.

1000006602.jpg

@CANOWORMS1 pulls ahead of me and @racingchamp30 is not far behind going around turn 16. @arethosetacos had some residual dirt left on his tires most likely and fell back behind Champ just as we made it to turn 11.

1000006603.jpg

Another goof on my part. This was a very humbling combo for me on Sunday and Tacos almost suffered from my mistake again, but I missed him by an inch on my out-of-control spin.

1000006604.jpg

Lap 3: @TexHill is running a great race on the other hand leading @Mac1032763 at the front of the pack.

1000006605.jpg

Pretty much ready to park the car at this point but I kept on, really hoping to do better this week. I plan on focusing on clean, crash free driving more and speed less. @Gusmcnasty and @JakeMk8 move on by to take 7th and 8th.

1000006606.jpg

Lap 4: Point of view from our dare devil helicopter as @Mac1032763 is fending off @JamCar0ne for 2nd place. Usually there's pilots in these things but to my surprise not today, lol. Must be remote controlled

1000006607.jpg

Not long after @JamCar0ne gets his spot and starts on the task of running down Tex.

1000006608.jpg

Lap 5: @CANOWORMS1 having won the last race is showing his prowess again moving into 3rd.

1000006609.jpg

@TexHill with no worries in sight flying through the Death Chicane.

1000006610.jpg

@JakeMk8 gives plenty of space for me to pass as I catch up. I know he's just being careful but part of me was feeling like he had probably seen what a wrecking ball I had turned into since race 5 and just wanted to stay safe.

1000006611.jpg

Lap 6: @JamCar0ne being challenged by @CANOWORMS1 while @Mac1032763 is fending off @arethosetacos in the background.

1000006612.jpg

Got pretty crowded in the Chicane of Death this time around!

1000006613.jpg

Lap 7: @racingchamp30 has caught up with @Mac1032763 heading into the tunnels.

1000006614.jpg

@Gusmcnasty and myself just in front of the camera stand at turn 6.

1000006615.jpg

Lap 8: It's still a battle for 2nd with @CANOWORMS1 in front now and @JamCar0ne and @arethosetacos right behind.

1000006616.jpg

Lap 9: @racingchamp30 in his #20 car still keeping the pressure on @Mac1032763 on the final lap.

1000006617.jpg

@TexHill took the lead and ran with it. A very well-deserved victory on his part and what a way to end the night.

Looking forward to tomorrow night! I've been practicing the combos and all three have a very different feel to them so it should be great fun.

New PS enthusiast at the ripe old age of 60. Have always wanted to Race - I have a c7 corvette z51 convertible - would love to track it for fun but instead bought my first PS when the Pro came out. Been going through the game and reached level 50 in a few months.

Loving this new racing hobby and would like to join a league!!!

I Look forward to viewing all of your rear bumpers for awhile :)

USA - logitec G pro wheel and pedals
PS5 Pro
1 game - GT 7

I have read the first post would like to join.

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing league:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

  1. You start a conversation, by clicking this link, and add zer05ive, JLBowler, nmcp1, llNovall, Akzl298 & Dragonwhisky as "Recipients".
    1. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".
  2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join SNAIL [Spec] Racing.
  3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
    1. All things SNAIL
    2. Original Post
    3. SNAIL OLR Policies and Guidelines
    4. Drivers List
  4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

As an aside, there will be more to get done once you start the conversation and, if you want to race tomorrow night, you'll need to get it all done by 11:59PM eastern time tonight.

Thank You - working on it so hopefully I csn get beat down on Sunday

Hadn't practiced the combos yet and I was up super early as my son had somewhere to be so I'll likely be missing our races tonight. But that's no excuse to skip out on the Car-Show.

My entry took me to Greece this week. In April 6, 1896, Pierre Coubertin of France, founder of the modern Olympic Games realized his dream of staging the first modern Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.

Mustang's looking sporty!

Where i buy the Mustang?
I believe it's from one of the early menu books, so you should have it. If you've done engine mods or weight reduction,...

To undo weight reduction, you have to visit the Tuning Shop, go to the Extreme tab (which is unlocked at Collector Level 7), and purchase a New Body. You can also purchase a New engine.

Snail race and Ford Mustang Boss issue

used the stang in snail lobby to practice and had no issues - car is all stock nothing added - no issues during practice

just before race added a livery i downloaded from showcase - went to race and car would not meet PP criteria - exited and tried to figure out why car had an extra 8 PP points - removed livery and car PP REMAINED 8 points to high (guessing 8 pp points - it was in that neighborhood)

This was first livery I have ever added and I am a total newbie to PS and GT.

took me hours to figure out - when I added livery It charged me a lot of GT7 money - just thought it was the cost of doing business

as it turns out the fee it charged me was the rear wing and front air spoiler

Once I figured that out and removed front and rear wing / spoiler the PP points went back to normal ......

Learning can be painful

Give us a shout on the voice chat or on the forum here next time you have an issue. We could get you straightened out and out on the track right away in most cases.
