Ok, so, while we're waiting on car and track picks to get finalized, does anyone know what the number below represents?

146,127,102,104,199,828,236,957,422,579,553,835,554,937,694,745,978,704,851,352,519,766,948,985,321,092,266,741,757,544,905,880,866,442,093,946,687,816,656,647,380,571,701,985,473,762,914,581,196,421,443,630,292,277,454,598,843,849,829,013,013,400,214,833,711,709,981,170,929,919,104,711,139,524,608,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

I've color coded the non zero comma groupings, just for ease of separation.

Correct answers will be awarded 20 $hells from my personal collection. 5 Bonus $hells will be awarded for anyone who can indentify the name of a number that big. eg Million, Billion, Trillion.

Answers must be posted in this thread, tagging me with the :@: by 8PM Eastern tonight. $hells will be awarded for correct answers only.

edit: fixt inaccurate comma, thanks to @Lessen 's AROCD. :sly: :P :)

@Dragonwhisky

Don't call it cheating, call it 'using resources'. A number that big would be 146 sexvigintillion? What the number represents, no clue. Number of IRs at Ascari last week?

OK wild guess. (Cars available to select for Sunday races) X (Tracks available for Sunday races) X (Number of color chips available in game) to the power of active SNAIL drivers = Number of possible car/track/color combinations we could see when factoring in all active drivers.

Not sure but it is larger than this number

80,658,175,170,943,878,571,660,636,856,403,766,975,289,505,440,883,277,824,000,000,000,000
or in simpler form

52!

Which is the number of possible permutations of a deck of 52 cards. Following is a great link that puts that number into perspective

http://czep.net/weblog/52cards.html

So you number is crazy big.

I considered a factorial too but thought there were too many zeros at end for it to be a permutation.

Edit: however I could see it may be possible since 52! has a lot of zeros on the end...hmmm.

So you're saying I'm on the right track then?

@Dragonwhisky: One clue please....Is it specifically related to SNAIL?
One clue? But you want your clue to be specific? Nah, I don't think so.

Some folks are in the ballpark, some folks are, amusingly, not on the same planet the ball park is on.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post, after the deadline, I will tabulate the correct answers, if there are any, award the $hells as promised and make the announcement shortly thereafter. In that announcement I'll explain how I determined the correct answer and why I brought it up in the first place and open the gates for discussion.

Yes folks, there is an agenda. Isn't there always?

Is it every possible Combo in GT6?

Maybe... the Odds against me being correct if I'm having an argument with my wife?

@Dragonwhisky

I'm still betting on something space / spatial. Amount of pixels needed for every Steward to see every race/replay at Ascari, or for all replays? Even that wouldn't be as high as that number, really.

Don't forget folks, in order for your answer to be a valid entry, it must :@: tag me in that answer.

@Dragonwhisky Is it PRIZE C? .... or my other best guess would be that the number represents the number of atoms in a specific mass of something? ... U238 just guessing.

It could only be the total number of combos in GT6 if you factor in car, track, transmission, tire type, car color, rim color, rim, size of rim, etc. That's a massive number, lol.
