Welcome to Round 3 of the 2002 FRI All Japan 4WD Championships! This week we'll be qualifying/racing at Rome Night. This will last from 3/11/02 - 3/17/02

Rome Night Qualify

Qualify will start on 3/11/02, and end on 3/13/02
You will be racing for your fastest lap time. You access this in Arcade disc, single player, Time Trial.

Submit you sector times along with your total time before 3/14/02
qualify and racing time submission procedure here

Qualifying Points System:
1st. 5pts add 0:00.500 seconds to total race time
2nd. 4pts add 0:00.400 seconds to total race time
3rd. 4pts add 0:00.300 seconds to total race time
4th. 3pts add 0:00.200 seconds to total race time
5th. 3pts add 0:00.100 seconds to total race time
6th. 2pts add 0:00.050 seconds to total race time
7th. 2pts add 0:00.050 seconds to total race time
8th. 1pts add 0:00.050 seconds to total race time

Awesome run guys! Brett, you're really fast! Not far from me at all. Congrats to the two Mitsubishi's that held the back end of the qualify.

I guess those who didn't qualify doesn't want a penalty time added to their time. I'm just guessing...................

its like a go-kart track on steroids with GO-karts on steroids.
hehe i wonder if cars or tracks develop breasts when they stop using steroids.....that'd be pretty interesting....lol

truth be known, i haven't done many laps...i've been rather busy and sore in my personal life. so i'm expecting to get slaughtered(although, i feel i was the only one who liked redrock in the gst series...and i won that...lol). ahhh wishful thinking again.

ma thumb is fine and i'm good to go :) .
my buick is a write off :( .

You know, I've been thinking, and I think the reason I'm usually way behind the rest of you guys except for trailor (heh ;))is that I like my powersliding too much.

In every race, except Motorsports land, I've been like 20-30 seconds behind, which I could definately lose by trying to powerslide around most corners. Motorsports land is the only one I did really good in because there's no room to get up enough speed to powerslide with and not spin.

*sigh*

But powersliding is so fun! :(

i learned my lession from powersliding in rally. i had a better time not sliding. BTW, i was in a Suzuki Altos Works (spelling?). I took that and used that tech. in tarmac racing. it works very well!

try not to slide. It may look good but you don't need it all the time. i don't even do it. Well, maybe a little tail out at the "S" turns in Grand Valley Speedway before the last turn, but i try not to power slide.

Only when i'm ahead of my competitor, like as in racing in 2 player battle mode, by a far distance is only when i do the slides.

My car doesn't even slide as much because it has the latest version of FuJi's suspension update. (i dunno which version of suspension this is, maybe the 8th version, 12th version......)

Try not to powerslide!

we can take about Sector 2 time (i.e. from starting line to sector 2)

i gotta get racing!

Ayuh...I bet if I could keep myself from sliding 'round the corners I'd pick up at least some time...

For some reason, I thought that the 14th was the due date for the racing, not the 13th, not like it made a difference because I wasn't home from 7 AM to 11 PM yesterday because of a track meet, so It's not that I didn't want a penalty, it's that I just didn't get a time in(even though I practiced a little during the earlier part of the week...:rolleyes: ).

ANyways, nice run, and good luck with the race! Hope to see some nice finishes!! :D

Not sure what I'm going to be able to do for the race..

I've had a migraine for three days.. I'll be submitting a time, but I'm not sure I'll do more than one run.
 
Did my one run..might try again later... not sure what happened here though. Funny medication I'm on. Can't feel my teeth, my cheeks or feet.. I feel so far removed from myself.

I ran better than I thought..must be due to my near comatose relaxation state.

Lets hear some discussions on how we're doing so far when racing. I gotta start racing myself soon.

So far, i'm doing quite well. It's that one big right hander where i'm going at it above 130mph to the long straight. I either position myself right or i hit the wall a bit and lose speed.

i'll have to race soon!
 
Gotta get my butt in gear here...Haven't had enough time to sit down for a few runs on the actual race yet! :eek:

Hey Fogelhund, got any of that med. left? I could probably use some! :lol: I've seriously found my race run times are somewhat improved after a couple cold ones, possibly due to the more relaxed state, as you said!
 
During my racing, I had some laps well below my qualifying time. In my best actual race time, I had I think five laps faster than my qualifying time. Can you break that magical barrier?
 
Sorry Fuji, but I'm going to have to drop out of this series. I just don't have the time to run in it. Sorry about that, it was fun.

Um, wait a sec. As I understood it we had until the end of the day on the 18th to post our times to you. That was a typo, you're saying?

Going along with that, if this is the case, why are you not accepting times in now?

From opening page.. before the 18th. which means 17th at midnight.. wherever you may be.

The deadline while pretty clear, we hidden amongst a bunch of stuff. Having said that, we only have three time submissions, and a series needs more than three drivers.
 
:P I stand corrected! No biggie, just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to misread for the future.
That was my own fault! Waiting until the very last minute to get anything done. Kind of like I'm back in college again! :D
