Bonus Events within Seasonal Events
From 20 December 2013 3:00AM GMT to 17 January 2014 3:00AM GMT the Seasonal Events will host a special bonus event. If you obtain a Gold award in all events, the credits reward will add up to 3,000,000 credits, and combined with the Consecutive Login Bonus, this can multiply to a maximum 6,000,000 credits!

Furthermore, a second bonus event is planned to be held from 2 January 2014 3:00AM GMT to 30 January 2014 3:00AM. Again, this event will allow you to win up to 6,000,000 credits when combined with the Consecutive Login Bonus, so if you participate in both special events you could earn up to 12,000,000 credits!
Mother of money

On a separate note, I am also doing the update now. It reached up to 84% with no problem, but it has been maybe 1.5 hours now and I am in 97%. For some reason it reaaaaaly slowed down towards the end, almost like freezing.

Thanks for all the info guys...Great work!

As much as we seem to hate PD, I think otherwise, given they appear to be refunding those glitch cars in 1.00 when they could easily just force us to lose our money, given we are only downgrading to 1.0 for 1 reason.

I see that now up to 5 manufacturers for Car Manufacturers filtering can be selected.
I think I remember only one could be selected, but I might be wrong. Please anybody who raced online more than me explore any changes there.

I had 1.01 freeze when installing FIVE times before I was successfull the sixth time. I guess 100% stability is not to be expected.

I have to admit I would rather have seen them do that last bit than make up this series of fantasy cars.

Trust me so would I, and I have continually questioned why they haven't done so considering the special partnership they have with Nissan and RBR. And the fact that the Renault and Nissan are partners too.

Is it me or does the outside view from the cockpit camera look even darker than before?
It's totally unusable now.
If it's the Silverstone Junior Red Bull race (the first) you're on about, just redo it and the track resets to a later time of day.

EDIT: sorry if this has already been answered but posts are swarming in faster than I can read 'em...

Yeah I dunno what's up with this. I am praying that the update is downloaded right....jesus, it's still downloading. I mean, the install hasn't even begun yet :indiff: :banghead:

Mine's 1.02.6930733B, so the letter is possibly a region designation?
Quite possibly. PD might have changed the region designation in the game version to a letter instead of a number. Before 1.02 the last number on my version always was "2". These are the game version numbers I took down so far:

1.01.69157022
1.01.69205182
1.01.69232792
1.02.6930733A <-- from @hognhominy
1.02.6933468E

No not at all, it's obvious that the Junior is equivalent even without being a closed top canopy. Looking at the surface area alone of the aero package shows me that.

Yeah I know that, and I'm guessing you only asked me this because of my background?

Anyways I only care to know what level in regards to how realistic of a jump it is from this to the full on X20XX cars, is the same dynamics of involved between Junior to X20XX between that of a feeder to F1. Thus the meticulous points aren't really relevant, since technically I'm not trying to see if it is technologically on par with the cars I've suggested.

For that to happen PD would have to make an effort to craft their own version of a Formula Renault, GP3, WRS, or GP2 like they've done with the FGT.

I honestly have no idea what you're taking offence at, or your "background", I was just saying that it's unlikely to be comparable to those cars in terms of aero, just as the non-fan version of the big-boy car is not comparable to F1, despite claims, on the basis of drag alone.

I doubt somehow that "guessing from the area" of the "aero package" (tip: the car as a whole is the aero "package") is at all accurate - and it's not actually real, so the figures can be fudged as necessary. I'll wait 'til I drive it, I think.

The jump might be excessively large, which doesn't concern me (and I wasn't commenting on), but I'll wait 'til I drive it.

I mean the cockpit view in general. It's as if car glasses were strongly tinted or if your in-game avatar was driving with dark sunglasses.

I wasn't taking offense, where did I take offense? I was just giving you a straight forward answer and telling you I was comparing them to degree of difficulty like that in real life, not technical standards. No reason to defend what never was there.

What are you talking about? All I was saying is that off course it isn't on par with real life, there are added parts that are going to generate better air flow over the entire surface area of the car than you'd see any Formula Renault car or even up to GP2. If anything this would be an example in line with say an extreme F1 car aero package at Formula Renault power to weight.

The jump might be excessively large, which doesn't concern me (and I wasn't commenting on), but I'll wait 'til I drive it.

I know you weren't commenting on it, you asked me a question and I was just informing you what angle I was actually coming from...

No problem, but I think the aero would impact the perceived difficulty. Downforce makes things easier, but fussier, to a point - I think we can agree the X2010 etc. transgress that point nicely, possibly having "too much" downforce. :)

After successfully installing the big update, the mini update came along. Downloading and installing was done within a minute, but then I had black screen and had to reboot the console.

Found a bug at rolling starts, laptime now starts when the race starts...

What do you mean? Previously the timer starts when you cross the line so all AI start before the timer and don't get a first sector time on the first lap. Is this different now?
