DUDE!! Thats possibly the coolest thing I've EVER seen. How much did he spend on that car? What parts? I must know.. I have well over 4k to spend, and Since I have no liscense, I would be more than willing to do it...Thats just sweet.. That simple..

hey man!
you can get a car like that for about $300 Ready To Run...
but it takes alot of skill to drive like that, and alot of time to setup your car like his...
there's a thread at RCCA's message boards here:
http://www.radiocontrolzone.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=109043
these cars can range from $200 up to $3000
i have a small vid of my $700 Trouring Car doing a nice burnout...
here: http://www.coldfusionracing.com/DualBL/smoke.wmv
i think that car has enough power to drift :D
thanks

 That is just plain awesome. I always thought it was only the RC car manufacer's that had stickers..but I see an HKS sticker/ water slide thingy on the RX-7..Where would I go about finding those?

where do you find the decals?
most all RC bodies come with a set of stickers, but you can also make your own if you have a viynal* cutter

That tire shred was crazy, cracked me up. Where do you get all these parts from? Good place to order them online, or just local?

Thanks for the info man, Looks like its alot of fun. Also im to broke to actually buy real car parts so this should keep me occupied

I've got a blue Mini-Z Altezza with custom hand-wound motor. It's a 1/18 size, in other words smaller than your hand. That thing will drift like crazy on smooth surfaces, because the tires are made for parking lots and roads I think. I'm going to get harder tires so I can drift on roads too, that thing goes about 40 mph. No, I'm not joking. Takes off so fast you can hardly see it. I could twin drift with somebody sitting in my passenger seat drifting the RC car... that would suck to run it over though I've got about $450 invested so far, and the original car & remote only cost $120 of that.

Good place to look at stuff for Mini-Z's:

This is the motor I have:

He didn't sell them on webpages before though, just on forums. You contact him and tell him what you want, and he makes it. The one that I got appears to be the one he ended up marketing, because here's a pic of mine:
Mini-Z.jpg

and here's a pic of the one on the website above:
SuperSonicPatternWound.jpg

(Although mine has a bunch of custom mounting stuff done to it. I've since replaced those screws with titanium ones because they weren't as bulky, I think those ones in the pic were just a little bit too big so the motor couldn't pivot enough to put larger or smaller gears on the motor.)

god dam... I drift my rc but mine is all stock

it was a 4wd Castrol NSX but the body messed up now I have a 4wd Integra type R

I have this cool place to drift where this side walk looks like a mountain road place. :D

I got pics of my car drifting there want to see :D

edit

wow I just seen some ones model and set up I guess I can make mine drift like the one in the video too

basically the guys one had most of his rc stock,
so I only need small cheap mods like wheels and stuff,

I have a tamiya chassis so I will start modding my RC again
(blows dust off integra type R)

i had a rc car well 2 i had a HPI rs4 which i moded to be rwd :D and a Ofna utrla LX which was fun i drifted a bit till one day my servo batteries went out and the thing went flying into a wall head on at qabout 45 mph then i sold my ofna and got out of the subject

I have a Traxxas Spirit. It's like a really cheap street truck. I can kinda drift it when the ground is a little damp but the monster rear tires don't help at all.

Watching these vids makes me want a Micro RS4 again...

RC is WAYYY more expensive in real life trust me...Ive spent around $370 on my associated GT rtr and the truck is BONE stock. I go as nitroboy24 on the www.radiocontrolzone.com forums...1/10 drifting is sweet, too bad spoolin left to make model cars, I still dont get that:odd:. Im looking at making an electric drift car and want to go w/a Tamiya TL01 w/old skool cool AE86 body, the only pain w/drift cars is that 95% of the good drift cars are electric (nitro has too high cg etc) which means battery charging:banghead: which gets old real fast...Anyways Ive got a few of spoolins drift vids on my comp and btw if anyone wants to see vids of guys jumping their nitro trucks INSANELY high (trust me youll see things you didnt think were possible w/an rc car) go to www.slapmafro.com for some sweet videos. Atleast I know im not the only rc "geek" here:D.
