@Spacegoat - Whatever you do, don't touch that TLV "Curry" truck that just came up for preorder. I have read before that TLV guy was little bit nuts, but that is disgusting(hint: poo).

What!? :ill: Was actually looking at the truck, thinking it looks pretty good. If I didn't already have the Daihatsu and Nismo for December I probably would have ended up ordering it. Big thanks for heads up. 👍 Funny that you mention the new pre-orders too only just noticed them myself.
Retro Crown's look nice though. I may have to go with the green one they show for January.

Considering the Blue one, not too sure about it though. Maybe.
Anyway, if you guys were looking a fulfilling catalog of Kyoshos, look no further:

Cataloged releases (no dates unfortunately), secrets of the box sets, specials, etc.

Never seen those CM's Sierra's before. Dat Texaco one. Great link. 👍

Japan Booster just let me know that the August batch is on its way to them. Golf 2 colors, Gloria 2 colors, Bluebird Security and Service, and the Seibu Keisatsu Cedric in white. I have all coming, but am most excited for the Security 510 and the Cedric. White with gold lace rims. Yummy.

Tomica Subaru BRZ - coming soon in October.

The wheels may look off, but I like Tomicas because of their various JDM offerings. Plus, when it comes to Mattel products, I like Matchbox way better than HW. I'm not into fantasy cars anyway, and Matchbox is better at making real-life cars.

@RCKakashi14 @NT_03 I was actually talking about the car choice, but it doesn't help that it has those wheels

I too like tomica, I think my posts have made that more than clear, but only the old cars, the new ones are incredibly bad quality, without a bit of detail, and I won't start again with the wheels. Tomica should drop cars altogether and stick with just trucks and construction equipment, because it's cars always come up looking ridiculous. It's not the 70s anymore, you can't get away with bad quality.

^ Actually, some newer-model cars are becoming better in quality.. The '70s and '80s Tomicas are actually extremely superior to it's rivals.

Indeed. I still find the level of detail of some 70s and 80s Tomica castings surprising, they were so delicate, their casting molds were amazing. And in those days hardly any other brand could pull of such stuff. Matchbox's Superfast era was almost laughable after the 60s Regular Wheel period, specially whn it tried to step into Hot Wheels' market with the horrible fantasy cars. Hot Wheels was in it's own game but the level of detail of the castings cannot be compared to Tomica.

Neither could Majorette for example, who always had very good castings but not as delicate-looking, and their chassis were always flat pices of trash. and other brands around the world couldn't touch them either, Polistil, Norev, Guisval... there was a great Yatming timeframe but it didn't last long. The only brand that I can think of that could have competed with Tomica in the 70s and very early 80s was Siku, but that went to hell fast too.

Today, it's aaaaaaaaaaaall the contrary :/

But '80s Made In France..

Yes, I know, and don't get me wrong, I'm a bigger fan of Majorette than I am of Tomica, and some of their castings were phneomenal, but they could never achieve the intricate, delicate detailing of the Tomica castings, and as I said, their chasis were always flat pieces of metal, always lacked detailing.

The 80's MIF (Made In France) car is Hot Wheels that I'm saying..

In the 80s Hot wheels were made in France, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, Venezuela and México, and maybe other places I'm forgetting. Ah, Italy too. And they all were made with the same casting molds, so I can't really see what your point is.

That the '60s Red Lines and the '80s Made In France Hot Wheels are one of the most rarest and most sought on by collectors now on..

Ah. Well, you don't need to tell me about it (: the redlines, it depends on the car, as they are frankly quite common, they're just old so they are more desirable. Of course there are some that are like holy grails, but the vast majority of redlines are average cars at best.

Local market cars are anothe story altogether. Every local market Hot Wheels car is a colelctors item, specially outside of that market. I myself have just that situation in here, with made in Mexico Hot Wheels being a very very hot item on the collector market, specially since there were also exclusive for Mexico redlines, so you can figure out how rare and sought after those are.

This of course gives me a fantastic excuse to show offffffffff my made in Mexico by CIPSA Cockney Cab, one of about 15, maybe 20, known to exist in that color combo, and possibly the one in best condition (:

^ Friggin awesome.👍
Bluebird Security and Service

The Security Bluebird in particular looks great. 👍 Got both on order with AmiAmi, really looking forward to getting my hands on them.

I received notification from AmiAmi this morning that order containing 'Security' Bluebird, Seibu Cedric, etc. was ready to ship, but I had to add one other car that just came off the "sold out" status(Seibu Skyline RS-3). I have that Dream Tomica Hachiroku on there, too.

P.S. Sorry, @Spacegoat I had to pick out another Silhouette for this month from Playmoya. It was $60 and I had another 5% off, so I couldn't resist. Also, @jtl46 I picked up another TLV bus. I've been eyeing that one for while. It was $51 & another 5% off(as you can tell from the link, their cost seem to fluctuate quite a bit).

Lucky. Looks minty too. 👍

Geez, I've got to pay more attention to the email's, completely missed my notification for the Bluebird orders. :dunce: Wasn't expecting it to come through so soon though. $60 + 5% off is a great deal on the Silhouette too. Looking forward to seeing some pictures of it when it arrives. 👍

It's what, about 20 days earlier than the usual monthly preorders? Totally caught me off guard, had me scrambling for another backorder selection this morning.

I know right? What makes these ones so special, eh? Combining orders is definitely the way to go too. The Bluebirds worked out to be like $34 all up after shipping. Very happy with that. Going to have find something to add to the Isuzu order for next month now.
