After seeing that photo, I was interested in checking out these Halo things myself. Found all of them today, and sad to say I'm not too interested in them.

Also found bulk loads of Fast and Furious stuff. Skylines, Imprezas, Escorts and whatever else. Just no S2000. Not a single one. I was fast to be furious.

Whatever. I moved on; in life and to the next aisle. Found the dump bin and saw the 934.5. Seems like they dropped in a few new cases, so I got digging.

I think I went through 8 different NSXs, not being completely satisfied with a single one. Either the face tampos got messed up, or the paint runs a bit thin, or the rear end receives bonus slag.

Did see that HW Pursuit TH as well, but bleh. Lastly, stopped by Toys R Us and found this goodie:

Haven't seen one of these in a while. Looks to be untampered, so whyyyyyy not.

Their Ford GT's one of my fav's

I finally got the double of this Treasure Hunt:

This time, at Target. Picked these up at Walmart :

Also picked up my amiami order containing the two new Porsches. Should also have Supra pace car and one more car inside(I forget which).
I like this more than the new TLV buses.
Speaking of tampos, I guess you weren't the only one complaining about the headlights on the Auto World Mustang because they made some changes.
I'm glad. Everything else on that casting is just about A+. 👍
I am pretty sure it was actually the backdrop that was slanted.
Just pretend that it's a featureless white hill or something. :P

(I will admit that I was in a bit of a rush to take the pictures though)
Gorgeous photos.
The headlights aren't great but the tailights are pretty good imo.
Forgot to mention that. Rear looked pretty good.

Everyone is getting their Porsche's. Meanwhile mine's still in the mail, somewhere.

Screw you Australia Post. :grumpy:

Did you order the Prelude(s)? Big surprise, except the wheel colors are :yuck:
Found a decent bit of new Matchbox today.
Got a couple of a particularly sought after new casting that isn't JDM.

Pics to come later.
Is it Skyline? Jk jk lol lol Is it the VW Transporter pickup thing?

No I didn't. Look pretty nice but just weren't doing it for me.

Didn't pay much attention to the colour but looking at the pics, the wheels don't look that great anyway? That's no big surprise coming from TomyTec though.

I had to get it. Very popular used cars from when I was a kid.

MSRP of this hot wheel car is only $23. Why are you being so demanding!? :dopey:

Hi guys, just picked up an old Matchbox Miura, no. 33, from a charity shop and its condition is "played with" to say the least, so as I would like to restore it (though not to the extent of dismantling) I'm looking for advice on the best paint to use for the body and possibly the chrome rims (is there a chrome-effect paint or coating available?) Also advice on cleaning up the windows, although they aren't too scufffed.

It's similar to this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-L...009494?hash=item4b167f9e16:g:TJoAAOSw241YXyp4
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-L...009494?hash=item4b167f9e16:g:TJoAAOSw241YXyp4
(whilst that's close to the original colour, I hope to do a better job of painting it than that!)

Thanks in advance!

What can I say, I'm needy.

👍
You can has nice wheels when you start paying $80 per car for 1/43 scale minicars. :dopey::lol:

What's sad is manufacturers of minicars costing less than $10 routinely puts more effort into detailing of wheels than on these "plain" wheels by TLV. It's a pretty big disappointment for this fan, especially considering the price point of their cars.

$80 is pretty cheap compared to some of the other 1/43's out there.
Two cars I can be bothered posting I got recently. One actually is JDM lol.

Hadn't actually seen that Subie police car before. That one looks real nice and congrats on finding the AMG. 👍

I didn't even know about the Subie. Mercedes is bad ass. 👍

True.
Going to pass on that Subaru. It's pretty horribly done, IMO.
Matchbox made some great cars few years ago. Sorry to say, while today's castings are improvement over couple of years ago, they are still hit & miss at best:

:yuck:

I don't often go in for fantasy castings, but yesterday I grabbed three of them whilst my work has the 3 for £3 dump bin.

Sky Dome interested me for a long time in the red/yellow and Aristo Rat looks plausible so I jumped on them. The final one is one I didn't appreciate until I saw a detailed custom one on Instagram, so I now own Rig Heat and it's safe to say I love it. The next release isn't in as nice a colourway as this blue/lime variant, so I struck now.

The one E-Type I had given up on some years ago, but then Lamley spoke up once again and now here we are........

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first release of the E-Type.

Found it for much less than the 199.99 EUR I originally found it for.
