Long time coming. It'll be so nice to make time for other interests.
Focus on the better stuff like Johnny Lightning and Auto World. Since you can still find them on the pegs with a cheap price. AW and JL don't exist on the pegs here, most of the are around $15 through online market. Those are the price i got for the FJ40 and the GT40.

Since not many people like AW here, not many sellers sell them, i still can't find the Gulf one (except the chase car, but they go around $100 :()
Good advice. I've just been losing interest as of late, and I'm actually feeling pretty good about moving onto something else. Thank you for taking the time trying to help though. 👍

You're welcome 👍

If it wasn't for the scarcity and the price of JL and AW, i would have moved on from Hot Wheels a long time ago lol

I know exactly what you are going through now. I used to be an avid collector of Blu-ray steelbooks but the hobby became a scalpers market and imploded on itself. I got fed up and went to pastures new.

I agree, if you lose interest in something it’s time to move on, especially if it’s no fun anymore.

As you know I got into this hobby largely in part from your blog. It’s therefore hard to believe you will be retiring. You will however, and forever, be the one and only GTP Lamley :gtpflag:

Thanks.👍 I'll be around for while, but I am excited about moving on. :embarrassed:

I collect steelbooks too but only stuff that pops up in stores. I don't actively search out hard to find ones. No stress.

Good. STAY AWAY from those forum group buys!
I also don't buy a lot of movies as I am very picky when it comes to ones I like, so it's still a relatively small collection. I love that places like Best Buy and Target from time to time release older movies in steelbook packaging for like $10-12.

You can’t buy those ultra limited exclusive artwork with exclusive goodies inside an exclusive box set that costs five times as much from physical shops. Only available in those forum group buys that you should STAY AWAY from :D:D

I got back into this hobby through this thread not long after joining up here. a6 was the one who got me into collecting TLV's. I keep telling him that he's a bad infulence but he doesn't seem to believe me.

Always. 👍

But if you do, can I have your entire collection?
That seems entirely reasonable so I don't see why you'd decline, thank you!
I will PM you.

A finger. jk

No, you got into Tomica FIRST!
Always. 👍
No way man. Mr. Lambert & I couldn't be more different.

I thought Lamley was GTP Lamley.
That's right! 👍
He got too big for this wee lil' forum.
I fled this community once(oh the drama), and I did get a message from John how there was nobody around to talk TLVs in here anymore & he hasn't visited the thread as much.
Nice try but extremely fake news.

June 28th 2012.
Well played, Jarrod Holmes.... but see this!

2009.
Fast forward almost a month later and boom, my very first Tomica. :P
I remembered that Suzuki being the first, but I did completely forget about those 86s. 👍
@a6m5 Ayy you're graduating! Congrats.
More like dropping out, but thank you, you smartass. lol

Ah, so @Cano was the bad influence on you, that you were on me, @domalorite and probably numerous other people as well.👍

Think the Suzuki was the first case of me being a bad influence on you. Still such a nice model though.

It seems Mattel took my advice I posted on their face book / forums . Changing the number plate on color variants
The fiat 500
Brown 1
Black 2
Blue 3

Also the countach was made in 2 variants , The wing one and the dewinged 25th aneversary . The pace car seems to be the vanilla one without the body kit .

Let's just focus on Cano for now....

See, I did end up buying it after you! At least on the Suzuki. :P

Now be a good sport and purchase yourself one bomb-ass IG in 1:43 to end it off.[/i]
1/43's too rich for my blood!

I guess @a6m5 has bought another dozen of the yellow version to go with his whites? TLV need to release more of these from that decade.

And if one is to retire this has to be in the collection. I like this one better than the 5000Km version. The wheel rims and better tampo design make it look sharper.

Just one. I did just get my last two white Type-Rs though. I hope to do a fun post with all five of them.

I have quite a few more orders & preorders pending & Bluebird, Civics are part of it. I hope to make a clean break, but it's going to drag on thru part of maybe June. I'm a fan of black steel rims, so I'm not sure which Bluebird rally I'll like better. Very cool cars. 👍
