Well me and my brother are certainly making progress on completing the Connect Cars series!

What we have here is Idaho, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Massachusetts and best of all, North Carolina! I'm glad we finally have North Carolina because we have wanted it for a very long time, especially since we live in North Carolina, and never did find it on the pegs. It's crazy how we can find nearly every other state in the series except the one we actually live in.

My brother bought Wyoming without realizing we already had it, so I bought it off of him. The rest are his.

And arriving just the other day, North Dakota! :dopey:

We are now only 3 away from completing the series! :D

It was 2100 JPY for all seven. Including the proxy service fee and shipping within Japan it came out to about 3,70€ per car + international shipping which was 1685 JPY for all the Lotuses and the BMW.

So all shipping plus the service fee it came out at around 5,42€ per lotus.

Wow what a find. You lucked out, Apok!

I just took down all the Kyoshos I had on my wall and am working towards listing them all.

Forgot if it’s been posted here already, but I stumbled upon this when searching for the TLV Testarossa:

I don’t know why, but this 512 BBi, along with the Testarossa and the other TLV Ferrari to be released on the same month as it, aren’t available for pre-order on Amiami yet, and it’s likely that it’s related to the words in the red bubble, so can anyone translate it?

EDIT: Just used Google Translate, and apparently it says that customers should note that this product is only for sale in Japan. So this could explain why all 3 aren’t available on Amiami or any other international online store, as well as explaining why @a6m5 spotted that the Testarossa was briefly listed on the worldwide version of an online shop before being removed quickly afterwards, but remaining on the Japanese version, as stated on his blog. So it appears that those of us in the rest of the world are only left with the option of buying via scalpers if we want it but don’t want to travel all the way to Japan in October. :indiff:

That's annoying.
They appear to be available on the Japanese Amazon site with international shipping, but I've never used it before so no idea.

Japanbooster put them up for pre-order a while back.

TLV Testarossa:

You’re still in HK? Why don’t you preorder from the local shops? For many releases they are cheaper than the retail prices in Japan. The first mainline/premuim/TLV Ferrari’s were more expensive than in Japan but now they are almost the same price. No need to import yourself.

Remember TLV’s DIY kits and ridiculously marvelously small side view mirrors that amazed everyone?

Well, I actually had the audacity to go ahead and stick all the parts onto the TLVs that I own, consequently reducing the TLVs’ resale value. It’s just 2 cars, but they sure gave me a lot of trouble. The fact that I had to use all my strength to squeeze a little drop of superglue (most of the glue has dried already) onto a piece of paper before lightly dipping the parts into it with a plier is tiring already, and my somewhat blurry vision is doing no favours. There’s also this fear of having some of the glue reside on other parts of the body due to carelessness. All this combine to give me a 3-hour session of tiredness and frustration.

The end results actually came out fine, and the Dino looks a lot more complete now, which is worth it, I’d say. That’s not saying the chance of screwing this up was small, though.

Yeah, I’m still there. I thought that these would be available for preorders on Amiami just like the Dinoes/F40, so I didn’t think of leaving a comment on the local shops’ facebook page to preorder one for myself. Now that I know they won’t be available via the usual channels, I’ve checked some of the shops’ facebook pages, but it’s been weeks since they started accepting preorders, so I’m not sure if they’ll still accept it. :(

Had spare time before heading into work this morning.

Dug through a bin loaded with the white Kool Kombis, Panamera Sport Turismos, green Audi Quattros, Huayras, RS3 and M2s.

Still no luck with that 300ZX and 22B.

Didn't think that wearing a lanyard and having both hands in a box of toy cars would have people think I'm a Walmrt employee.

Meanwhile I come across white 300ZXs fairly regularly, but of the others you mention, no sign... at least individually. The M2 and Huayra can be found in some multipacks.

So I said at the very top of the page that we had only 3 left in the Connect Cars series, well make that two now! :mischievous: West Virginia came a few days ago. While I hate that it ain't carded, I do admire how the seller kept the plastic from the blister and used it to hold the casting in place, that's something I have planned on doing myself. Casting is perfect shape so I can't complain too much.

Now all that we're missing is Montana and Missouri and we'll have all 51 in the series! :D (excluding the international releases)

22B? I think it's still too soon for that.

Wheel/tire fitment is no-go for me. I'm picky. :P

I didn't even notice the wheels. They don't look good at all   Still tempted by the Motul livery but I've already got a couple of other things on order for that month. Probably will end up passing.

Anyone can recommend me some diecast shops in Hong Kong? Preferably shops that sells TLVs and Tomica Premium :D
Was waiting for others who are more knowledgeable to reply, but since it seems like nobody is going to, I will give my own suggestions and see if anybody has anything to add to.

If you want higher-up-the-line 1/64 diecasts, like Kyoshos and TLVs, Hung Hing in Wanchai is a must-go, they’ve got an entire cabinet dedicated to Kyoshos, and they also feature a wide array of TLVs, most of them the lesser-known JDMs.

I’ve been to a couple more places that also sell TLVs/Premiums. Granted, it’s a really small selection of stores that I visit, but they either can’t match Hung Hing in terms of number of TLVs offered or the price. Or both.

I thought so, Hung Hing seems to be the go to places for everyone. Thanks dude!
