Oh man.

I just sold off what was left of my Hot Wheels collection. Didn't get as much as I could have but I didn't feel like boxing up and shipping them all out so I sold them locally. Hated to do it but I needed to move on from mass collecting of Hot Wheels because trying to find what I need is impossible anymore. So for now I will limit it to cars that have a personal meaning to me (like the B13 Sentra coming for 2023) and focus on stuff like Inno64. Hoping they start releasing more Super Touring cars.

Found this at the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville the other day:

And then this at the IMSA Petit Le Mans:

I've purchased TLV from the Lane Motor Museum! Love the variety of diecast they have compared to other automotive museums I've been to. Which mostly have the uglier cheap Jada diecasts...

Didn't expect to find these at Highpoint (2nd biggest shopping centre/mall in the southern hemisphere) on Friday:

Honestly would not have considered getting the Mini GT Hyundai Elantra N, but after driving a real one and really enjoying it. I felt the need to get a model of it.

Buying Mini GTs scares the hell out of me these days. Their QC is most of the time a bit questionable. Insanely good varieties, great looking and affordable though.

As bad as Greenlights and M2 Machines? I haven't really opened up my Mini GTs that I've gotten. (I think I had more than just these two, but I don't remember)

FINALLY found the Exotic Envy Lamborghini SCV12, which felt almost impossible to find. Honestly, unhappy with Mattel deciding to turn premiums into "chase" cars.... I personally couldn't care if it's "rare" or unique, I just want the model for it's casting of a licensed car. It's irritating that they make it harder to find with a chase car mixed in a case, but somehow the non-chase version also gets picked out amongst the set. I'm not a completionist collector, I just try to get what I like. Why does it always have to be the chase version. :irked: Did not expect to already see the Jay Leno Car Culture set, but of course the Countach was missing every time I came across what looked like several full sets. Literally the only car missing every time.

I really do feel like giving up for the most part on diecast hunting and just ordering online, only if I really like the set as a whole. Even then, it doesn't feel all that worthwhile....

That’s probably what I’m gonna do especially with the holiday season coming up. And our stores barely still have new premium like the Jay Leno set.

I'll definitely consider that as last year was absolutely awful during the holiday season. Not even worth the gas to drive around and hope for anything in stock.

I did get the German set last year online then eventually I saw it in stores.
