Also, I mentioned before that sellers asked way too much for the Kyosho Nissan race cars. Thanks to you guys bringing it up again, I think I got the R88C & R91C(two I was after) for $25, shipped. NICE.

Liking that Trek UTE. Old matchbox cars are starting to grow on me. Mainly because of all the off-road cars.




Oh and this 1962 Corvette looks horrible with the size 2 wheels in the rear. I almost didn't want to buy it but it was 87 cents. I guess I'll swap wheels on it at the very least.

I have been up to my neck in BMW customs the last few days, so I finally caught up on this thread. That is the bus I finally found in the wild on Monday. I already had one that I used in a Lamley feature a few weeks ago:

Every version of the current Matchbox Routemaster is pictured as well, except one. Mattel gives a special gold Routemaster to the outgoing Ambassador every July at the big Matchbox event in Albuquerque, and it is an official Matchbox issue. We featured last year's awhile ago:

I recall seeing on the back of one of them a "T2 London Bus" but I'd never find one. Is it supposed to be HTF because I doubt the newbie staff at the recently-opened Target are scalpers.

The spectraflame red Bus is a chase model, so it is interspersed in the cases. The Bus with the Union Jack is a Batch C model.

I think I might just give in and buy that Tomica Limited Toyota Crown... Ugh...and I feel it might set off a spending spree where I end up going off and buying other Tomica Limited diecasts!

Or should I get the Fire Chief TL Crown, since it's closer to the color of my car...

Exactly. Normal-edition Tomicas are worth something only if they're japanese. Chinese reissues of old castings are worth a buck at most. He could also buy a chinese reissue and we could customize it like his car, he wouldn't be destroying anything

I'll look into one of those Chinese castings when I finish the car. (But being a project car, it'll never be finished!) But considering my lack of time and skill to do any customizing...maybe one of you guys could try to recreate it from some pics.

After purchasing that...I'm feeling some Tomica Limited fever! I really want to buy the TL Toyota 2000GT. But I'm also tempted by the Nissan Bluebird... I think I'll go for the 2000GT.

Only Hare Splitter I have are the Hot Ones, but it was auctioned as a pair, so I did get to open one. Probably my favorite Hot Ones car. 👍

I like my Tomica Limited 2000GT, but they have so many cool cars that arent available anywhere else, like me & Jarrod's RX-7, and he also have I think that obscure(by hot wheels standards) Lancer. You can score some really unique car going Tomica Limited.

It's just the price of them that concerns me. I'm stuck between larger scale models and these 1/64s. For a similar price I could get a larger, yet probably not that greatly detailed model. I'm also contemplating on getting the TL Lexus LFA since that's one new car I'm rather obsessive over... Although at nearly $17 I'll hold off on it. Got barely enough money for the 2000GT and just one cent more than the Bluebird. Although the Bluebird will give me that feeling of guilt considering how close I was to buying an actual Datsun 510.

Edit: Also...that four door Hakosuka! First ever GT-R that shares the same birthday as me!

P.S. Awesome White Lightning R34! How much was it?

White Lightning was $16. I forgot Johnny Lighting even had R34, and I don't own any white lightnings, so I just got it. It is much better in person than I expected, but the tires are plastic, so that's a real downer. If they were rubber, it would've been a really special model.

I didn't know Tomica Limited had LFA in their lineup. I'm gonna have to check that out! *edit - Little bit rough around the edges + it has Land Cruiser tires. I looked up a Kyosho, and it absolutely destroys the Tomica Limited. Price too though, unfortunately.

You can score some really unique car going Tomica Limited.

That's why I really like them. Who else makes a Nissan Skyline 2000GT-B Race car or a '70's Lancer Rally car? So much cool and unique stuff, the only problem is deciding what I want to get next.

Seller at the meet tonight swore up and down that Mix 3 in Boulevards this year was the last mix.....until I showed him the Mix 4 list on HWC and a photo of the Porsche 993 I am looking for.

Finally got the Boulevard BRAT and a few other not so important cars.

A Lexus LFA?!?!

I need one of them in my collection ASAP! It's a impressive car from Lexus, especially that NA V10 engine, which sounds like a Gallardo's V10 distant cousin.

It's a must for my Lexus collection. But I'm gonna have to save up for it though to buy it from Kyosho, or hope HW or MB makes one.

Nice pickup on the 430 Spider AOS. I saw that GreenLight Focus at TRU today but ended up not getting it. I bought the Champ Car there last week.

Anyway, here's my low-key birthday haul. Didn't find anything at 2 Targets/3 Wal-marts. Picked up a couple old(er) cars I liked at Vintage Stock:

Then when I was at TRU, I turned the corner walking back and ran into a huge Matchbox 60th shipper. Admittedly, my heart skipped a beat. Went through about 50 of the 60th Anny cars and had them all. Then turned around to the other side of the shipper and in all the basic cars someone had put this baby:

Yay! Finally found one. Yeah, I know it's not the Chase one, but this one has been almost just as hard to find. Now if I can just get my hands on the 60th Anniversary Porsche...

I hear you on the scarcity of the Routemaster. For a while, I didn't think I was going to find it. Porsche on the other hand, I see it from time to time, so I think you'll be able to score that one eventually. 👍

1:43-1:24 scale stuff, Rite Aid has 1:24s at $10, so I do go around picking those up as well.

Cheapest one I found was $40! Looks amazing, but price wise, I can't spend that much. TL LFA would be nice too, but something about it's detailing compared to other TLs doesn't seem that great. Wish their was a "basic" LFA around.

I paid $5 for the BRAT, others were as much as $10. You're better off getting them from eBay.
