FYI guys, if you ever go shopping and you see a store special (that's specifically not a weekly flyer), keep a digital copy on your phone or something.
On Friday, there was a Walmart (District) Store Manager's Special, and cars were going for 87 cents for 6 different locations. I went to 3 of them and at one of them, they didn't adjust their prices. I told the cashier about it, and she thought I was misread the ad. Truth is, she doesn't even know about the ad herself and didn't bother to go confirm it with anyone.
I'm a stubborn jerk when I am positively certain I'm right about something. I could've make a big deal over saving $2 easily, not because I wanted to save money, but because Walmart's own staff doesn't even know about the damn discount nor went to the trouble to confirm whether or not I was right.
She just kept on insisting/suggesting that it was only a store manager special for those particular stores and not this one. She just wouldn't listen when I kept repeating that this store was also included. Lucky for her I was in a hurry to catch a bus for school, otherwise I would've asked her to call up somebody with access to a computer..
..and then maybe get them to print that out and rub it in her face. I hate it when cashiers aren't aware of active sales and their supervisors even more when they don't inform their crew about sales. I hate it the most when the cashier refuses to help customers however they possibly can. I work as a cashier at a dollar store that doesn't practice customer service and even in that position I hate how we don't have a system to check for anything in stock.
