there is just one day left in the month, Andy.

You're right.

Went back to the same Walmart on my way home from work to see if I missed anything and it looks like I did:

Safe to say "first" ?

Keep a look out! They don't go nearly the money Kyoshos go for. ;)
You didn't grab it so that doesn't count! :P

Next time, I'll take a photographic evidence of me putting it back in the dump bin inside Walmart.

Hokai my friend. I await your photograph of mockery.

Day 2 of Monthly purchases of June:

Pro tip: If you ever feel the urge to buy a Hot Wheels 1959 Cadillac, don't. Why? Look:

Cadillac+El+Dorado+1959+(turquoise).jpg

The body from the side looks dead on, turn it to the front, width is squished, and front axle is forcefully too large that you get a douchy-amount of offset.

You know what it'd be great for? If I cut out the rear and frankensteined it with another old car. I've got a Maisto Studebaker Starliner :embarrassed:

Leaving Quebec and going to Montreal for part of my trip tomorrow any good diecast stores that I should look out for? All I know is MiniGrid in Toronto. And I know its Canada day tomorrow too.

Tomicas are on sale about a block from where I live.
I checked them out but didn't pick any up. The cars were nice, but the 'bonus' items didn't really start my motor. Grabbed these instead:

Nice ones photon, liking the Superbee mate:tup: and also nice Bimmer and RX-7 Medigo:drool:

Got an eBay delivery today:
Grabbed myself a Goodyear '55 Chevy Panel & Boulevard Subaru Brat:tup:

and just had to get a pic with the bike out:D

Thanks. I'll be opening it up soon.
Strange price some people would actually pay for it, let alone the usual whack of postage:

I got the whole bunch pictured in my previous post (and a bit more not in the picture) for under $40.00. Off the peg. No postage.

Wow:eek:

I've never seen any Greenlights over here, I'd have to buy them off eBay:(
Although we've started getting M2's, might see some one day:tup:

Just bought my 2nd Kyosho 1:64 Lamborghini Countach LP500R:

Yep, these two belong in the Lamborghini Minicar Collection 3. So, there are 4 LP500Rs total. I don't know why Kyosho bothered releasing the same color with just gold rims (and it's not even a chase car). The real car has the black rims.

Beauty needs no translation, especially for the Countach.

(That's "moo" in Japanese... )

Trivia: There is only ONE Countach LP500R in existence. A Japanese clientele commissioned it. Thankfully, Kyosho made it in different scales for those who dream of having one...

Try checking at a Toys R Us if there is one near you. The Greenlights that I have all came from a Toys R Us, but that was nearly a year ago.

This one costs that because it is a chase "Green Machine" with green wheels. yours is a run-of-the-mill car

Also, I just also got that black Kyosho Countach, but haven't had any time to take pics of it. It's awesome, I tell you.

Yup.

Your TRUs carry Greenlights?

And, Yup. The Tomica sale that I showed you guys was also at the same location.

Yup. Here is what it usually goes for online, sans the chase wheels. Can you imagine that a change of wheels can drive the price up that much? It's a limited edition of a limited edition. Die-cast manufacturers . . . .

I still can't get myself to pay that postage. I'm too casual a collector for that. Plus, when I do find something I really like off the peg and at a discounted price it feels a lot more kick-ass grabbing it that way. I have to admit though that there is a many a car, or even set, that I'd like to purchase online. For the moment I just can't bother to pay for something and then hound the postie for weeks after that.
Here is a set I'd like to purchase - but dang it - it's got to be online. Toys R Us had only four GLs; I picked up 3. Kind of like a die-cast starvation diet.

@xsmmetaldesigns
Nice Tomica and Tiger. Did you get those at a shop?

jtl46 - Once again I have to say that you got a nice blog going there. 👍

I know about TRU carrying Tomicas. I only saw a single Greenlight blister at only one TRU ever so I wasn't sure if it was a misorder on their side or if they really did carry any. The TRU closest to me never does.

Also, I'm down for that MBX Quick Sander. That would make a wonderful addition to my customs.

Andy - I did see your post about trading awhile back - my sincere apologies if it seemed I was ignoring it - yes, I'm ready to trade with you anytime, since I already have, and know you are a 'bona-fide' trader, (Clean cars, well-packed, everything according to spec, etc, etc) but I don't have the time to get into it right now. However, whenever you mention something you like I keep an eye out for a spare one, or keep in mnd that you want the single I have. I most definitely will set up some kind of trade, soon - I may have a lot more time on my hands in the coming weeks, since my entire family is leaving for the 'holidays' and that frees me up from many time-consuming commitments.

Gotta run now - Airport Shuttle due.

$5 is reasonable for rubber-tired limited production cars retired almost 15 years ago, me thinks.

$5 for you all, but the Panda got all his 6/$5 loose. I would pay $3 for Japanese or German models, but I max there.

I've got the red premiere RX7 on card for $6 + precise shipping. Anyone interested?? I'll toss in a freebie. (i always do)

^ Do you have.... any Custom '59 Caddys you're looking to sell? If not, I think we can pack up the box and get it shipped.

Cool. It's all good.

Naw. Find it loose and we'll talk.

Never would have noticed it. 👍 I'll check out my woodie surf/hearse thing later too, see if it's also narrower. '59 Caddy's M2's department anyway I guess. :D
Oh, I am. Must get around to getting one.........one of these day's.
And I know it's gonna be a good one. I like the choices you make on Tomicas, because like me, you go after what you like. 👍
Edit: Speaking of Tamiya. Do want.
I didn't even know they made race cars. I really wish you didn't share that with us.

Greenlight! Nice! 👍 I hear you on Tomicas. I'm becoming a Tomica fan(well, I was, as a toddler before lol), but nothing at Toys R Us interests me. I did buy Nissan Juke. I got couple of cars from Toys R Us on the way home today. I'll post them later with the handful of cars I got from eBay. :)

There may be more difference(base, interior, etc.) to that. Also, Greenlight sells the cars for regular price, but it's like the Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt: Seller/Market dictate the prices on those.

You know I recommend both of those. I love real rider tires, and I think they are couple of the neatest ones out there. 👍

He says the fuel economy sucks though....... Car looks so damn fine, even on the back of a flatbed, I guess it makes up for it. :P Great video. 👍 I was hoping they told us how much the flipping car originally cost for the custom order, but they unfortunately did not touch on that.
tomica corolla
One of the Tomica cars I'd like to own someday..... my dad used to drive one. :D Awesome car. Thanks for posting the pics. 👍

In my area, I think they may be the only place I visit that carries Greenlight. Walmart I think may carry some, but none of the cool stuff.
