Picked these up today:

The Mars Rover was amazingly found in Walmart. *the rest were crap as usual* The Mystery Machine came from Dollar General. Walmart also had a MM, but it appeared that the right side tampo had damage on the edges, so I passed.

I don't think that is the Joker Boneshaker. It looks more like it's from the Hot Wheels Garage series several years back.

That is correct. Whomever said Joker Bone Shaker is silly. The Joker Bone Shaker is entirely fuschia with green 5SP wheels. Poopstick attitude aside, here's an uninteresting 2012 Muscle Mania '64 Galaxie I decided to put back into the collection. It's actually the one I got from Shinji, but I already had one from before disassembled.

Tried out that glass lazy-susan again. This time the backside is painted black. Still doesn't get me the results I like. I either have to do more stacks or I'll have to make some aluminum foil reflector walls. If I can get this right, I'm ditching white backdrops.

Okey I have a lot of posts I am wanting respond to, but I am only going to respond to 3 each post just so it won't be too long.

Sorry, hadn't seen you taggin' me. Yeah I do remember. Those are in pretty damn good shape, dude. The Seasider is pretty awesome 👍
Indeed. 👍 Not really good enough to be considered as "mint" on Ebay, the fenders are scuffed a little and I will admit the picture hides a lot of the other scratches it has but even with that being said it is still in good condition and rolls extremely well. 👍 Seasider is kind of the same as well. I reposted it and all the others in better quality so mustang fanatic and all the other new members who joined here can see them. ;)
Old Hot Wheels are like model railroad products. The cost is worth every penny if you can afford it, and are willing to pay so much for whatever the item is.
Indeed. I fell in love with that Custom Police Cruiser the first time I saw it. :D
I went to Walmart but I had a terrible time. No cars, although hopefully that'll be a blessing in disguise. I left a 3-pack behind with a Camaro IROC or something, and I'm regretting doing so. The two others cars were a Ranchero that I already had and a fantasy casting.

As for previously acquired cars, I filled my first box of 2014 basics up earlier today, so I'm feeling pretty happy. Despite my problems. :)
Don't feel bad, the night before you posted that, I seen a Boulevard Rigor Motor on Ebay for a outrageously low price and I was going to have my mom to bid on it since I knew no one would want it but me, but dummy me I let slip through my fingers AGAIN! :grumpy: I mentioned it too late and it ended with 0 bids. If I had gotten it, I would have killed 2 birds with one stone and then my search would finally come to an end for that casting. Oh well.

Anyone need the multipack exclusive white Mazda Furai with chrome Trap5 wheels? Got an extra sent with those RX-7s I bought and don't need it.

A thread about stuff we bought. If you think about it, this is pretty much like the Recent Purchases thread, except it's solely for toy cars.

I've never seen it like that.
In the 23,000 posts I've been in here so far I've had discussions on various aspects of collecting - why we collect, what we collect, how we collect, sourcing, maintenance, storage, cleaning, etc, etc, etc.
I don't see it as a 'what did you purchase' thread, or even a 'trading/selling' thread.
I must have missed something.
We used to talk about customising, too, till I suggested (several times - read back from when Cano used to show us his customs in here) that we have a separate thread for customising.
We used to talk about photographing the cars - till I made a thread for it in the Photography Forum.

If this isn't a thread about discussing collecting, then we need a thread to discuss collecting.
But, I still am under the impression that what SVX made here is a thread about collecting. Not just a thread about stuff we bought.

Joker bone shaker. @photonrider

Well done. 👍 You know your cars.

Puzzle #4 ( Amateur) up soon; and of course it's going to be harder.

No, not really... I just wanted this one.
There's just something about it... :)

That one was probably the one that got me liking Fish'd & Chip'd models, and oddly one I like the least now.

Told ya to keep an eye out for me, didn't I? :sly: I'll grab it off you if you don't mind.

It certainly is a place to discuss, I'm not trying to deny you of what you want the place to be, but the activity here as of late has been a place of sharing purchases. Discussions branch off of that afterward. That's all.

Oh! no - it's not what I want it to be, AOS, but what the OP wants it to be.

And yes, the activity on here of late has reflected a market-place thread. And I won't deny you that, either - in a way it's part of 'sourcing'.

We the primary variation collectors here. ;)

We need to get a badge for you guys. :D

Thanks for playing. Also more pics of my storage solutions when I get back.

Apologies! What have I done!
That wasn't the Joker Bone Shaker I posted after all.
This is the Joker Bone Shaker. (Andy was right to question it - he's obviously no amateur)
The other one looks close, though, eh? Green hair and all.

The Bone Shaker in the puzzle was the odd one out anyway, since the rest were all Protagonists of one sort or another - Batman, Speed Racer, Hawkeye, etc.

Red C1 vette?
Any reason why?

Talking about trays a few posts back . . . the trays I use are simple cardboard trays that would have usually contained cans of pop, and suchlike.
Each of these trays contains a mini-collection; collection of 'vettes, or Porsches, or Bone Shakers, etc.
These trays can be stacked one atop the other, so that the dust is locked out, yet easily accessible if i need to take out a specific tray of cars.
Some trays are stored in large plastic boxes.

Here you see the trays inside the large plastic boxes that the trays are stored in.
At the top of the picture are bins of cars in packages that need to be opened, sorted and put away into their respective trays.

The plastic boxes have flip-top lids - when I take those off the trays are exposed stacked:

BBL. Shared comp. :irked:

White Matchbox (i think) T-Top, top right corner. Why? Only one with flying buttresses.

It's the Doctor! :scared: Hide all cars.
Good point about the buttresses.

Clue #1: Enough mettle to challenge Mattel.
Clue #2: All are from Mattel, except one.
