Aside from the fact we've established that old debate starter many many times, I've also been slowly valuing quality over the price, so I don't see my subjective reasoning as being incorrect in that sense. I want prettier castings. Simple as that. :)

And yup, that Cobra's windshield is super large, but this also isn't the first encounter of Kyosho models not being perfect. Every long-standing brand so far has had their fair share of hiccups.
I think at some point in the near future, we may need to change the title of this thread.

Buy why? It don't even got a balanced ride height.
I didn't realize how great the casting looked, not until I was about to box it. :D
I walked into a Walmart over the weekend and saw a guy walking out with one of the M2 VW Buses and got all excited that they actually had them. When I got back to the diecast isle, there were none left. :(
That was probably Cano......

We all know you won't be able to catch him running(he runs like a mother trucker, ask that toddler), but had I been in your position, I'd have picked up one brick over by the gardening section, met him outside the store in the parking lot, then...... never mind.
So much win there...... So much. :(👍

I think for some, most of what has been posted lately is reason to stop buying hot wheels. If you can afford it that is. Not everyone is rich like the Tomica trio in here.

Well we still got diehard Hot Wheels people here... just that the desire for more has gone up like crazy lately. Tomicas, Kyoshos, M2s. When's the last time any of us splooged about a Maisto?

For me personally, all the delays with the Red Line/Hot Wheels Club, and lack of availability on premium cars(pop culture, retro entertainment, etc.) doesn't help. I also can't take credit away from the great job Tomica is doing with their limited vintage line(kicking butt, taking names), also people like jtl, japan booster, amiami contributing to its exposure & distribution.

I do wish Hot Wheels made more noise, but I am happy with all the cars(HW, TLV, Kyoshos, every make) available online. Greenlight & Autoworld needs to be more aggressive with their distribution, too.

Not that it's bad to like the cheapo Maistos.. we (myself included) have just been on a trend of grabbing nicer castings and sharing it. I'm sure that has had some level of influence on us, but I don't mind - I don't think that's a bad thing. The last thing Hot Wheels got me excited for was the Kenmeri, and like all my walmarts, I got months to wait on to ever see one. It ain't easy to hold up support for such a lack of accessibility.

About that 512 TR, I'm really glad I picked that blue one over the red.

- Red for a Ferrari is too mainstream. Not my cup of tea.
- And the blue is the best color to go for in most Kyosho Ferrari 1:64 castings.

That's the only reason I'm here. To see nice pics of nice cars. Inspiration that set course for my collection(before I quit).

Oh, and you are guys are just lovely company. Just lovely.

:P

Love you, but you are talking crazy right now.

I do like my blue F355!

I do love my TLV's, if anyone didn't notice, but Matchbox is my first love, Hot Wheels second. Going the Gathering always puts me on a Matchbox kick, and since I have so many photos to post, that kick might be around for awhile. Plus, after the 2015 presentation, it appears some of the excitement for Matchbox is finally returning. That always makes me happy.

By the way, I am trying to acquire extra Gathering Tacomas and Chargers. Anyone interested if I can?

How much?

Not as expensive as what we are seeing on ebay, but not cheap either. Tacoma might be really tough, especially the white hood vari. Blue hood I am guessing about $100 to $125. Charger would be in the $40 range. All these were allotted to attendees so it is a matter of how much it would take for those that don't want to keep them to give them up. The Tacoma was really well received, so I doubt many will make it to the secondary market.

You already got enough Chargers, don't you?!

I have one, and the loose one is for a collector in the UK. He normally attends, but could not this year, so I am sending him his models. He opens EVERYTHING. Some would make you cringe.

Also, yellow Ferraris. No blue.
Who me!? Yes on yellow.

For $40 range, I'd be up for the Charger. If at all possible. 👍

Meanwhile I don't even really have one.

Now that I said this someone's probably going to give me one.

Sorry Johnny, I'd give you one but I'm not nearly creative enough to come up with anything that's vaguely amusing. I'm sure someone will though. And the new spoiler tags are slick. 👍

 I guess I'll be... uh... um... I'm lost. I don't know what to use for myself. :boggled:

Lol. I love that the legend is alive and well.

Damn, the more I look at Kyosho. The more it gave me reasons to stop buying Hotwheels and lesser Tomicas!

It's not stopping buying Hot Wheels, it's just stopping from pouring silly ammounts of money into them. Like I said, now that M2 is available in supermarkets over here, I have in my hand a Retro Series HW and a M2 car and I laugh at the Hot Wheels, throw it behind me cartoon-style, and walk away with my M2... maybe pickg up one or two $1 Hot Wheels on the way, because they're $1. But $7 like the Retros are over here? Lolno. Oh lolno  specially because $8 will buy me an M2. Or because $15 will buy me a Kyosho shipped to my house. I'm no going to pur half of a Kyosho in a Hot Wheels that's effectively a mainline casting with ugly -at times- rubber tires.

Sadly, 100% Hot Wheels get toooo little attention from here.

I would be interested in a Charger for 40.

Hey, I'd put money on 100% if there were more castings I liked.

Seriously lost count of the number names I go by in this thread now. :odd:

J-Dawg
J-Money
Josh? J-Carrot? J.C.? Josh the Carrot?

Jared? Jared...Hey that's a close evasion of your actual name! Wouldn't you agree, Shinji? :P

What do I have? Ando? That's all? :/
