Wow great scans!
This furthermore intensifies my agony to play GT4...

Only think that kinda made me a little dissapointed is that you can buy NOS... IMHO it could kill it, unless NOS can ONLY be used in "straight lines", only then it is ok..

I think they are gonna include it in racing :indiff: That pic w/ the NOS gauge looks like a race track. I still am optimistic that PD will do a good job w/ it though.

Well, just remember that even if they include it, that doesn't mean you have to use it... ;)

For me, it's traditional to play through the Arcade game before going to Simulation, so that'll give me time to get used to the driving physics and the different cars.

Really? Hmmm, normally I won't even touch Arcade mode until near the end, for percentage reasons. Although the Panoz was a bit of reason in GT3, so the TT's were completed fairly early. But the rest... nah, I just couldn't get interested.

we need translations! this is to good to ignore!
what im intrested in is the tuner cars. they seem to be a great deal more than previously thought.
i have an idea on that. go to babelfish.altavista.com. they have a section where you can translate web pages (and files i think). just copy the link into the box, select which language you want it translated to, and it should translate.

oh yeah, and on scan 9, look in the right hand corner. there should be a picture with all the icons on it for the gt resort mode. look in the top left of that picture where the euro cars are (to see this i reccommend you load a link up to the scan, save it and view it in my pictures). there is an icon which says "Spanish Cars". IS SEAT GOING TO MAKE AN APPEARANCE??? I hope so!!!

Nitro: if you are talking about translating >scanned< pages, on-line translators won't work.

Cheers,

About the suzuki -

Suzuki Sports Escudo Hill Climb Special - the monster machine that won succesive hill climb race victories.

The Race to the sky hill climb is held in New Zealand, and is comparable to America's Pikes peak hill climb. This machine displayed amazing speed in the event and won the championship two years in a row.
Thanks a lot!

It remains guessing if this car will be in the game or not.

Arcade mode was pretty good since in the hard races all the cars were pretty similar in performance, giving closer races.

Wouldnt nitrous count as an aftermarket purchase to upgrade your vehicle? and in arcade mode, don't they NOT allow those upgrades? so... does that mean no nitrous in arcade mode?? That would suck, because im a million times more likely to use nitrous just for heck in arcade mode than i would in simulation

Noo, I'm talking about the cars you buy in sim mode and mod in sim mode... I heard from some internet source, i forget where but i almost never bother reading unreliable sources for information, that once you buy a car in sim mode and mod it, its going to be left stock when you select the same tuned car in arcade mode. So would that include nos do you guys think? because that would suck. I wish I had the link or at least remembered where I heard this, perhaps in one of GTP's own posts?

None of the previous GTs were like that, and chances are GT4 won't be either. One of the main reasons they let you use your own tuned car is to race against a friend with another tuned car. You can't race against another human player in sim mode, so they let you do it in arcade mode...

Maybe they'll change it so that you can race against another human in Simulation Mode this time. Or maybe there'll be a setting where you can load your fully tuned garage for Arcade mode as well.

Myself, I'm actually quite interested in being able to race all of my cars in stock form in Arcade Mode. I was always dissatisfied with the limited choices in Arcade Mode in previous GTs and so being able to choose any car in any color will be welcome.

I did a translation of a page, posted on here from a japanese site, with an interview with KAZ.

It stated that due to the immense size of the car garage, cars won/ bought in sim mode would appear in the Arcade section.
However they will only be available in STOCK form, you will however be able to choose any colour scheme available to that car, and not just the one you bought.

Edit: the info is on this page, my post is 28.

That would be very very disappointing...why have such a huge garage and not be able to select your tuned car? That makes no sense...racing against other tuned cars is what I love about GT...if they take that away, it would really suck. I'll have to see that for myself.

💡 Thought about it some more...this way is not that bad. However I really hope you can save suspension settings and then apply them before you race...that would actually be better than b4.

But Please PD don't take away my suspension settings :scared:

Still, it ain't gonna stop Escudo racers from trying to beat the Audi R8 by 25 seconds with a Stage 4 Turbo. I'm just joking, folks! Lighten up 👍. ;)

I think this would, however, up the challenge in Arcade Mode, so that you don't blow everyone out with a car tuned to levels way outside of its limits. For example, tuning a Dodge Viper GTS to compete with Le Mans race prototypes.

they put all unlocked cars into arcade mode is a good idea
also if no garage car allowed .. I still love it
sometimes its weird you have a S-class street car to race against GT-One

Backfire
WOW
I want now.

man, it's a good thing PD added backfire, it's amazing how most people in this forum seem to care more about that little, inconsecuential visual effect than the improved driving physics, car count, real circuit accuracy and ovreall graphics just to name a few improvements.
"hmm, lets add backfire, or we'll lose 50% of our sales, gotta get them ricers too!"

Maybe because its a relatively new feature which hasn't been known for well over a year?

Maybe people go on about that more because it's something you can see without playing the game, almost no one here has been able to experience the improved physics so far, and until they have all it is is bunch of words with no backing. Any way I do wonder if that Escudo hill climb special will be in GT4 as well as the Pikes peak one since they are different cars.

you guys are talking about the new point system, how if you have less horsepower in a race car against a higher powered normal car, well that seems unfair. I think the system may be based on the cars horsepower to weight ratio. It seems more fair to me, plus many other games use this system such as Motor City Online. That has to be the most fun I ever had for 2 years playing a computer game, untill they cancelled it.

Rev.lights??? I'm either very slow today or I'm unfamiliar with this term.
