This is inspiration. After I finish running the Endurance at Tokyo I might take on this bear of a race.

Wow, this thread has become really popular. I just came here on zer0h's advice and it's great to see the enthusiasm!

MM, I'm thinking that the idea of the 250 at SSR 11 is an excellent idea. 👍

got to include a car thats a bit more "exciting" though, a race car would get a lot more interest. Is there any way you could include say a JGTC car but limit what mods you had ??

Im just about to get my r390 to do this with.

He meant in DTV's idea of an SSR11 250...

So who are you calling a lier then?

Road cars only selected (non tuner cars either, and no Toyota Altezza LM, which is classed, wrongly, as a road car), 600hp maximum, I counted 3 sub 4'10 lap times (all MR, oddly).

There was also a Tommy kaira ZZII under 4'10, but I'm loathe to count it as it's classed as a race car by the game (Formula GT eligible).

I had a quick crack the other day with a Pagani Zonda C12-S at 598hp - with all other mods - and was a little annoyed to find myself at 4'13.

Ummmm. Remember that you have to do the 100 laps in one go. You can't exit out and then do the other half of the race. (i.e. it has to say '100' laps on the screen)

I've been thinking of not doing any more enduros because of the fact that you have to write down the laps all the time. But then i realised that that is just lazyness, so i'll start working on the rules etc. (which will probably be the same) :)

Ahem.....:D

4.08.982 In a 590 hp RGT, Not what I'd call a GT3times legal lap by any stretch, but not cheating and legal for this series. The short off-track excursion may have actually cost me time. Not that you were seriously accusing anyone of cheating, LM, I just wanted to clarify.

Ahh ok mustang man, didnt relise that. I was going to do them in the one day but split it up into the four so all of it would be recorded but... one lot of 100 is ok.

i am thinking about doing the 100 but if you are going to make a new one i might wait for that

For complete boredom, 200 laps of the Test course anyone? The winner is who can stay awake the longest

R390 road car? Wasnt that car a one off homologation special deal just so Nissan could build a race car for Le Mans?

If it qualifies for the race it qualifies, I'm just spewing that I didnt think of it first :banghead:

you are insane if you think I'm gonna spend 200 laps on the test course:lol:

it's like somewhere about 2 mins per lap or something...would be 400 mins, 400/60=almost 6 hours and something, but we all know none can stay in the ps2 for 6 straight hours especially making circles!!

Thats why I said it, its more a competition to stay awake, The rubber band trick should work a treat on this one:D

Just completed a few test run ghost/set-up laps in my car in preparation for tomorrow's attempt. And if LoudMusic saw my lap time he'd s**t his lips... :D

You running this tomorrow then Famine ? I havent even got round to getting myself a 390 road car yet !

Good luck anyway mate 👍 let us know how you get on.

And, if I'm lucky, I'll sell my old car tomorrow as well...!

I have no hockey match tomorrow, the houses we were going to look at have been sold... So it's a big, fat, empty weekend... :D

well Im off to talk to a friends dad about mortgages with our lass, then its shopping (ace) all day in Leeds, I mean its not like I go to Leeds EVERY day to work and then have to go shopping there on saturdays as well !!

Then her brothers birthday so at least we'll be  tom night !!

edit - the purpose of the post was to say Ive no time at all to play GT3 tomorrow !!

Interesting race so far. I'm 20 laps in and have managed to kill 3 cones utterly (all in the initial chicane section), clipped another pair (in the square corner section) and spun once (in the self-same damned square corner section). But my predicted race time - based on a 20 lap average is:

6hr 27'38.960

I managed to pass the second 10 laps just 3.3s quicker than the first 10 laps (average of 0.33s per lap difference). My range of laps is entirely covered by 7.119s - but if you were to remove the spin lap, it'd be only 3.781s, which I find amazing at Complex String, as it's only the equivalent of 2% difference...

Edit: 40 laps down, 2hr 34'47.172 gone - predicted race time of 6hr 26'57.930...

...looks like im gonna have to do it again, just to beat you fella :D

Nice work mate 👍 what sort of Lap times you running?

And I'm spent...

Very nice 👍

Nice choice the TS020, didnt think of it myself, well that and mine had 630HP, bloody oil change:banghead:

How, may i ask, did you add up your total time? I've been trying to add up my times for the Laguna Seca 500 from ages ago in Excel XP but haven't been able to. :(

I used Excel myself...

Select the column you wish to put your times in.
Go to "Format" menu, then Cells.
Select "Time" format, then mm:ss.0
Select "Custom" format - mm:ss.0 should appear in the type box. Just add two more 00s on the end to get lap times displayed.

The formula I used, where lap 1 was in B3 and lap 100 in B102 was =SUM(B3:B102). I had to use another custom format to get it to display the hours, which was [h]:mm:ss.000

On the TS020 - she's a lovely car to drive fast. The initial fast chicanes are easy as hell, and the ups & downs are great too - 150mph average through there. But on the square corners she's a total b**** - and none to easy on the concentric circles either. I spent an hour or so on Friday night tuning the suspension to get it right, and each time I ended up with horrific wheelspin in 2nd gear.

I'll post my replay here, so you can grab the settings if wanted.

The 3'48.8 lap was an absolute screamer and 100% clean. I'm going to ask daan to video it for me.

Just thought I'd edit in my average speed. 109.78mph...
