HATRICK HERO!!!!!! C'MON THIERRY!!!

Keep it together Arsenal. Don't lose it now!

Ahh well, looks Like it was Liverpool who's bottle went missing in the second half.

I was at that game. Probably the best game I have ever seen at Highbury. It was a cracker. Henry is the best in the world.

I haven't posted here since I started the thread, due to the amazing coincidence between that and the Arse's inexpicable lack of form, but now I'm back and all I can say is...

CHAMPIONS! CHAMPIONS! CHAMPIONS!

You posted plenty of times here, but anyway BIGGER BOLLOCKS

Meh, all props to Arsenal though. They deserved it, I mean they've gone unbeaten in the leauge for how many games 30 something? Isn't it a new record?

Liverpool and another team have gone with only 1 defeat in a season.

I'm watching the Highlights of the Arsenal - Tottenham game right now. Well it's finished now.

Edit:Damm, the play leading up to Vieras goal was just, awesome. There is no other team in the premiership that can do that.

The best goal of the night though was Shearer's, probably goal of the month.

Yeah, he's usually the one for sneaking one in around the 5 yard box. But that was a stunning goal.

Yeah! Champs finally 👍

Can they finish the season unbeaten? I hope so. It will be one awesome record to have.

Liverpool and Leeds have both gone a season with only 1 defeat, so if you lose just one match you don't hold any records, heres hoping.

I read in the paper this morning that Wenger is planning on spending £35m over the summer. He wants Terry and Gerrard. This is a very exciting time. Imagine terry and Sol at the back, Viera and Gerrard in the middle. We will be unstoppable

I doubt he'll get either Terry or Gerrard, I can't see either of them wanting to leave. Well maybe Gerrard, seeing as he's the only one to pull his weight in the damn Liverpool team at the moment. I can't see why Terry would want to leave Chelsea.

Arsenal also had only one defeat - to chelsea - in 93 or 94, when they won the title in that year.

well im glad too see that my team (spurs) can hold their own against the CHAMPIONS

congrats arsenal.....they do deserve it, unlike man united or chelsea/russia

but as always GO SPURS

Vieira is officially on his way to Real by all accounts. All that has to be agreed is the price. Well, what can I say? I thought Vieira would be like a Roy Kean or Tony Adams, but obviously I was much mistaken. He's served Arsenal well over the years and I wish him all the luck at Real. Personally, I see it as a step backward as Real are not the team they're hyped up to be. They are constantly in a state of transition, with big-name players coming and going and managers too, they don't realise that consistancy is one of the major factors to build a strong team. Even though Vieira has been a rock for Arsenal and could have been a legend, I will be hoping Real fail miserably on all fronts this season, as I do with Chelsea, as buying huge-name players for huge fees that other clubs have developed simply to boost reputation and sell shirts doesn't sit well with me.

So, now the big question is who Arsenal will use to replace the massive void left by Vieira. Can the all Brazilian midfield of Edu and Gilberto be successful over a full season or will van Persie and Flamini prove to be more shrewd signings by Arsene. At the end of the day, I'll always trust Wenger's judgement. So, as sad a day as it is to see Captain Marvel leave us, we can be thankful that the Commander still runs the Arsenal ship, as he is the one truly indispensible part of Arsenal Football Club.

I've had a completely distinctly unfair and unfounded disliking (personality wise) for the Porto player, Maniche since I saw him in the Champions League last year, but I think he would be a great and cheap(ish) signing for Arsenal.

EDIT: It looks as if the information that I wrote above can be read again concerning today's news. Even after all the recent things Wenger has alledgedly said about not selling Vieira and not wanting to buy Maniche. I just think this is all about a press that's out to unsettle Arsenal and sell more papers. Don't they have anything better to do?

What big name players did we buy this season? Kezman certainly wasn't, Drogba wasn't, Paulo Ferreria wasn't, Carvalho wasn't. The only two big name players we bought were Crespo and Veron. They've been offed back to Italy.

I think by big name he mean big money signings. I read somewhere Edu wants to go to Barca.

What? Kezman isn't a big name player? Come off it mate, he's been one of the hottest properties in European football for a long time. He just never left (or wasn't allowed to leave) PSV and became a bit of a forgotten man because of it. Drogba is also red hot property and many clubs would have killed for his signature. As for Ferreira and Carvalho, well Carvalho was one of the best defenders in the Euro championships as well as Dellas and Ferreira also has a strong reputation after Porto's last two successful seasons. OK, so today's Chelsea are not like Real Madrid who buy on reputation of the name and image alone, but they definately were at the beginning of last season and you can't deny that.

It just angers me when a club spends offensive amounts of money to build a squad rather than build one up as other clubs have successfully done. It also adds a huge amount of pressure on the team that spent big, and that's not good at all. What will happen to Mourinho if he doesn't bring any silverware to the Bridge this season? Will he be treated as badly as Ranieri? I guess only time will tell.

EDIT: Yes Mike, actually I should have said 'big-money signings' that was more of what I was getting at.

Most of Ranieri's buys post abramovitch were panic buys, just to find any willing decent player who would accept large ammounts of cash. Case in point Crespo and Veron, although more Veron.

It just angers me when a club spends offensive amounts of money to build a squad rather than build one up as other clubs have successfully done.

So we've got disposable income lets just not bother using it, that makes no sense whatsoever. Although it would be nice to see some investment in a better/improved youth system, instead of just players.

To be honest, I doubt he has any more pressure than any other top flight manager. We had a definite chance at the champions leauge last season and we blew it by playing unfit (moneygrabbing) players. We'll have to see what happens during the season though.

Edit: Oh yeah, all your Viera are belong to real. 👎

As I said before, Vieira is a legend and a rock for Arsenal, but he is replaceable. I only wish they'd sold him to Chelsea, because they would probably have paid double what Real Madrid are supposedly offering. Still, he's getting on and 25M is a good price for a player reaching 30 with only a year on his contract. Still, he is the best in the world in his position and that demands a high figure. I wish he was staying, but life goes on.
