i after 150 hrs of game play have finally got 98% but cant go any higher (all rampages, all jumps, 12 vigilante, 12 ambulance, 12 pizza, 25 brown thunder, all missons) can someone send me a 100% save as i really have done everything i can think of with a criminal rating of 99,350. i have even taken to doing headers with a beach ball (getting 79) and still wont go up please help.

I once got to Vigilante level 171. Around $1,500,000 per level, then I just quit because I had been doing it since midnight, and it was 4 AM.

Check out the Vice City Record Book thread. I got to Vigilante level 1675!

There's a sticky thread at the top of this forum with a complete list of requirements for 100%. You should find out there what you need.

What about using cheat codes? I abuse most every cheat code mid way in the game (so sue me!) and all seven save files I got are at 100%
I got the warnings after using the Rhino cheat i.e. but nothing's ever happened or prevented me from getting it all done.
And why is the last outfit called "Frankie"?

Check the 100% Checklist thread. You might find something in there you haven't done yet. :)

Well, some people don't like the idea of cheating. Some people (such as myself) like to play through the game without cheats.

Also, certain cheats (such as the Rhino cheat) drop your CR down, majorly.

*sigh* I was once like that. My head is way too corrupted now to turn a new leaf.
Vice City isn't really a hard game to complete without cheats (exlcuding The Driver mission).

Games like Splinter Cell are near impossible to complete without cheats. I still haven't beat the last level. :irked:

I'd say "The Driver" is fairly easy compared to "Keep Your Friends Close...", certainly there are armor and health pickups here and there but sometimes the're just not enough. I mean, when you get up to the roof and Lance and about four more guys clobber you with bullets, jeez! Heck you're lucky if you make it past the exploding barrels when you sprint to the helipad. Those idiots have killed me more than once because they hit those. :irked:

Or MGS2. At least in Splinter Cell you got cheats, you're on your own in MGS2. I'm still gathering my courage to play in "extreme" difficulty. :odd:

Keep Your Friends Close is easy once you have a strategy worked out. You'll need to be packing heaps of Python and Spaz ammo. Also, make sure you have a few PSG-1 bullets and a few Rocket Launcher shells.

Now, once the mission starts, run outside (through the front door), pull out your Rocket Launcher and blow up the limos. Not as many Mafia men will come in now. Run back inside and guard the entrace to safe with your Python. After you've killed a few Mafia people, Lance will show up. Sprint down the steps, then use the hallway on the left to get to the staircase. Climb up a level, get out the Spaz and run down the hallway until Lance comes into view. Lance will give you a few shots, but he is nothing compared to the mighty Spaz shotgun. Run down to your health and armour room and get patched up. Now run back and guard the entrance to the safe room with your Python or Spaz. After you've killed another wave of Mafia mobsters, Sonny will show up. Run over to where Lance was standing and run down the hallway. Go down the steps and exit the mansion. You should be in the area where the Sea Sparrow is. Run around to the front of the house. Stay at the bottom of the steps and get you PSG-1 out. Zoom in and you should be just be able to see Sonny. Now give him some of your PSG-1 ammo. After a few bullets, Sonny will die and you will have successfully completed Keep Your Friends Close. :)

Yeah, but I don't use cheats...
