no bugs here man. C1 tvThere's something fishy with the 120hz option.
Yesterday it worked great, close to 120fps in performance mode in offline races, vrr doing its job (58 fps in menu cafe, why?!).
But today, man I had loads of issues. Stuttering, screen going black, etc. Checked everything (tv, console, etc), restarted everything, nothing worked. My tv showed i was in 120fps mode, and vrr enabled.
Why I think it's the game itself : there was nothing in the 120hz option ingame, all I could see was '--', no activate or deactivate. And whenever the framerate dropped below 120fps, screen would go dark as if VRR was acting crazy.
After many restarts (logical and physical, tv console, games), disable/enable options with my tv, with my ps5, deleting my gt7 save, starting gt7 with 120hz disabled in ps5 settings, I finally was able to see again the 120hz option ingame as it should be (activate/deactivate) and make it work again. Don't know what did the trick tbh... but it is definitely not normal, and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a bug in this new feature with gt7.
sorry to be a pest but still looking for an answer to bold?
Thx will do!!!Go to the ps5 system settings under display and see if you have 120hz enabled. You can also test to see what resolutions your tv support. Report back if you have any issues and maybe post a screen of your display setup.
It could be the case that your tv does not support 120hz, your cable is not hdmi 2.1, or you just have it off on the system settings.
I don’t know if the console is set to 120Hz Automatic by default or not (can’t remember if it came that way or I manually set mine like that) but according to the game text that scrolls at the bottom when you’re in the settings within the game 120Hz in controlled by the PS5 console settings. You can’t toggle this in game setting, only in PS5 console settings. Well, at least for me. I’m using an older 1080p 120Hz Sony Bravia model.sorry to be a pest but still looking for an answer to bold?
Well I hope it'll not do it again with my setup. At least if I knew what I did yo re-enable everythkng, I'd be ok with it.no bugs here man. C1 tv
it is hdmi 2.1? if not then that's your answerMy QHD monitor which supports 144hz output cant even do120frames according to the PS5.
Dang.it is hdmi 2.1? if not then that's your answer
HDMI 2.0 should still work perfectly fine for 120hz on the PS5, you just won't get VRR as they do it through the 2.1 spec. Maybe try some of the stuff people suggest on this threadDang.
Its HDMI 2.0
DP 1.4
I have a 2016 Bravia. It is XBR-65X750D. But, I think it is 60hz on and not 120hz. When I look at the specs on Video Signal Support all them have 60hz after them (1080p (60 Hz), 1080i (60 Hz), 720p (60 Hz), 480p, 480i, 4096 x 2160p (24, 60 Hz), 3,840 x 2,160p (24, 30, 60 Hz), 1080p (30, 60 Hz), 1080/24p, 1080i (60 Hz), 720p (30, 60 Hz), 720/24p, 480p, 480i).I don’t know if the console is set to 120Hz Automatic by default or not (can’t remember if it came that way or I manually set mine like that) but according to the game text that scrolls at the bottom when you’re in the settings within the game 120Hz in controlled by the PS5 console settings. If everything says you should be and are capable of running 120Hz then it might be your HDMI cable?
am I wrong or switching to 120hz lowers the overal image quality, as if it's downscaled. Running it on 1440p Benq EX3210R? Going back to 60hz and picture quality is OK.🤔

I’m not exactly sure about that. I see that model has Motionflow XR 960 which is rated at 120Hz. I can’t imagine them throwing this in your model if yours isn’t capable of 120Hz. I don’t know how good that specifically is, but Sony Bravia and Master series have always had solid picture quality IMO.I have a 2016 Bravia. It is XBR-65X750D. I assume that this means I don't have 120hz.
I guess I should have bought the 120hz version,,lol But I do have HDCP 2.2, so on the HDMI side I would be fine.
This is it, no bugs or problem on the c1/c2I got a new screen yesterday; LG C2 42inch.
After a bit of setting up, I've got VRR at 4k 120Hz on tv & consoles/pc.
In game driving an Alphard around Tokyo time trial I snapped a phone picture of the screen.

Obviously this is ideal circumstances; one car, simple surroundings, etc.
Maybe look into your cable?Mine says it’s 1440p. I have a LG BX. Maybe my tv doesn’t support 4k 120hz?

It's a tv function, hence why I had to take a photo instead of a screen grab.Hi how do you get this nice display FPS etc values?

I don't know.. I was under the impression that LG oleds had this 4k120 VRR feature as one of their selling points. When I bring up the info it shows 3840x2160P@120hz on my C1, albeit at 4:2:2 color, and not the full 4:4:4. That's the only downside
Same. The trees might be slightly degraded..but at 4k 120hz while racing you don't notice or at least I didn't.120fps here. Didn't notice anything.
Thx don t have that with my samsung😟It's a tv function, hence why I had to take a photo instead of a screen grab.
Pressing a button on the remote brings up that menu.
