Stopped down there today since the weather was insanely nice. There was an excellent turn out and lots of friendly people milling around. It was funny how many people talked to me about my car and commented on how cool it was. It was surprising to say the least but it did make me feel good! I also got a chance to meet GTP member Motorcitydriver while I was down there too. That makes the third GTP member met for me.

And sorry for the so-so picture quality, the lighting is always really weird in the location first thing in the morning and I need to buy a new polariser since my last one got sand blasted in Grand Haven a couple weekends back. I have some other shots that might clean up and stick in my photo gallery eventually.

Joey,
Nice job with the pictures also a pleasure to meet you, your new Focus is a fine replacement for the Mini, I'm sure you will hot rod her up over time.
With best regards,
Graham

Nice turnout. The Jensen CV8 is STUPIDLY raare, specially on these shores. Also, yay, muscle cars! The 69 Charger is minty! I also liked the original Cobra (good God), the black frogeye with roll bars, the GMC thick is amazing! the 59 Impala has the panoramic roof option (meaning it's all glass) and the hot rod is a 34 Ford, not a 32. Just remember, the 32 has a rounded grille area, the 33-34 have a V-shaped unit. The Old Plymouth is a 37, me thinks.

There was a ton of car related events going on today so the show seemed a bit lighter then usual. Plus the weather was playing up being well into the 80's by early morning and the weatherman calling for rain/storms most of the day.

Volvo P1800ES, apparently on 8,000 were built. It was owned by some kid that had a huge, poorly weird sound system in the car and was running some rather awful tires. A real shame.
IMG_3917.jpg

Have talked to him? I'm pretty sure his son has the GT-R and you have the connections now it seems like :D.

Hey if he needs that R34 off his hands hook him up to me! I'll lovely take it off his hands.

Joey,
Same guy who owns the Jensen CV8 owns the P1800 along with some other odd cars.
Graham

Wow really? The CV8 is amazing and the Volvo was just so...well it looked like a high school kid's car with it's massive subwoolfers, speaker wire everywhere and the rather odd tires. Maybe that's how he bought it, I heard him say that he got it off the internet or something so I'm hoping for the best with the car.

Pretty laid back show today. The weather was threatening rain this morning and there was a chill in the air. Plus I think a lot of other shows were going on, I know the Hot Rod Power Tour came through yesterday and there was the real Cars & Coffee going on down at Motor City Casino.

Ford Focus RS 500 from Ford Racing. The driver talked to me for a while and even let me sit in the car, I was pretty excited!

Wow, amazing pictures.

I thought all RS500 had only matte black paint, looks much better in green.

The car is owned by Ford, I'm sure they can do whatever they want . I didn't know about the 500's or I would have asked.

I didn't find out about the Power Tour until yesterday. If I would have known about it Friday I would have gone over there in the afternoon. You'll like what's in store for next weekend around here though!

Are you headed to Lingenfelter?, He showed up around 10am with a T/A.

Haven't decided whether or not I'm going out to the Lingenfelter collection, but I am going to the show on Sunday out in Gross Point Shores. I'm going to see what I have going on Saturday and then go from there. I was just there about a month ago, but seeing that collection never gets old.

Epic turn out today even though Eyes on Design was going on. I hit up the show before heading over the the Sultan's collection and was really glad I did! A few new cars there that were really gorgeous.

Super Performance GT40, wasn't street legal and raced in some historical car series apparently.

Hmm, wind at my back eh? If I ever get a boat I'm going to name it that. Did the owner of the GT40 start it up? I bet its a nice sound.

Halfway decent turn out today despite it being several overcast all morning. I'm getting a lot of repeats now so expect the pictures to start slowly trickling off. I'm sure you guys don't want to see the same Corvette every week.

Aston V8 Vantage, I talked with the owner a bit and the guy was nuts. Apparently he wants to bore the engine out to a 4.7L and redo pretty much everything to gain another 70hp. It also sounded like he was trying to get customer headers made for the car too.

The fuelie Vette is one rare beast, awesome car. Ditto for the Jalpa in the previous post, I LOVE that car.

Can I ask for pictures of the black Pontiac sitting alongside the Cadoo in that last picture? Those 8-lug wheels are droolable.

Oh, and also, about the Vette abomination... I'll have to say that it looks devastantingly cool in wagon form. Sorry, my wagon fetish wins me over (:

So I got a little sidetracked this weekend which is why the pictures are a bit late being posted, but at least they are here! Turn out was pretty good since it was a holiday weekend and the temperature was quite warm.
