19 blade fan upgrade for slim?

Does anyone know if there is a 19 blade fan for the 160gig slim ps3? It seems to run slower/choppier so I think I'll have to change thermal paste (never opened up this ps3, got it day after gt5 came out).

Thoughts? Should I change thermal paste if I've never opened up the ps3 before? It's out of warranty...what are the chances of a faulty thermal paste installation?

Starters: Do NOT open your PS3 for any reason, ESPECIALLY to check for a bad thermal paste install! What to do instead is to buy additional warranty coverage from PSN so that in case it does fail, you can still send it in to have it repaired/replaced by professionals. You can buy full coverage for a year and a half for $50, even if the damage is your fault.

Second: To my knowledge, there were no issues with the PS3 slim across all SKUs, but it would be advisable to call Sony (once you purchased the coverage) to confirm your issue first. If they say to send it in, then by all means send it in.

I have no issue, just seems to be running loud so I'm going to change the paste.
