1990 car in the 80's cup?

eh i just noticed, the car you win for the Beginner 80's Cup, is a 1990 RX-7 Infini III. WTF, im pretty sure this car races in this race too. Just wondering what the hell is up with that.

Yeah, for those races I used the 300ZX TT. I'm not sure what year the one on the game is, but I'm 100% positive that the body style of the 300ZX TT on the game has only been around since 1990.

If you check the race regulations, it tells you all of the cars you can race in it, and I think it allows a couple cars that are '90's models.

Technically, a 1990 model was first made in the 1989 calendar year. That's why it's in the 80's series. I wish they would display the model year for the cars, 'cause the 300ZX could be a '90 or a '96 model.

Since they cut out the used cars, they needed to stretch the rules a bit to have an 80's cup.  I love the 80s cup.  It's nice to race cars that were brand new when I was growing up.
