Maybe a mod can move it once the poll is up? Saves NTX doing it again...

Dammm...can this be moved to the comps!!!
Sorry:(
But if not...well, the links are right...so vote.

Wow nice shots, I have no chance. I can already tell which is Krames....Also whos is the Aston's? Thats a European car not a Japanese or American car...

Sorry:(

I've PM'ed a moderator about it, don't worry, it'll be moved soon
Alright, alright. I've moved it. Stop PM'ing me, both of you... :D

EDIT: Might as well vote seeing as I'm here.

Sorry daan, we were all just so exited I guess :)

Thanks for being so quick

Amuse S2000 for the win! Thats some amazing cleanup.

All the entries are exquisite! I love all of them, even if there are a few flaws here and there.

Again I say...DO NOT VOTE IN YOUR ENTRY!!!!

Once again sorry about the poll being in the wrong place.

Dammm...how the hell I didn´t notice that....hmmm and now??
It was my fault, I didn´t notice the "error"...so U guys can kill me.
Suggestions welcome...or the entry can still count, or the guy who made it can make another and I would put on a separate poll...or give your ideas...

And my votes go to:

Nür NSX. Superb colors, and superb details like the exposure of far trees and sky area. I want to know who made it!

The Z Tune. I don't like it very much, but it hasn't anything wrong really, so I have to veto it.

The white Z. Wish to see a bigger size soon, it looks awesome. Amazing contrast background-car and spectacular reflections over the hood.

Mitsu 3000. Spectacular reflections too.

Kusabi. Great cleaning and great idea to use that exotic car. The place you took the photo also meets the car style.

GT40. Cool angle in this one.

AU Cerumo. The car is quite distorted but the image is superb! I want to know how made it as well.

Isuzu. Great use of lights! (Must see full res at 5min)

Yaris. Tiny bomb.

Stream Z. I didn't know that car could give so good colors and definition. the spin is also creative.

NSX Shibuya. Awesome pic. Very clean, very elegant, very sporty.

C´mon Speed, U are doing fine...try to be positive, learn even more...see where U can improve...
Look at me, I´ve done a big crap with that Aston Martin being in the poll...

Before I comment on some of the shots, I'd like to say something, don't know if you agree. State your opinion too if you can.

I'm not sure if those 'signatures' should be allowed. Granted they don't have the creator's name, but it's an add-on to the shot. I'm fine with it on the other comps, but on the tournment I don't think it should be allowed. Just a shot with a border if you want, and nothing else.

Also, changing parts of the image like modifying license plates, adding stickers (already forbidden) and/or text or symbols to the car or scenery should not be allowed on the tournament. Sincerely, it changes the image, changes an overall appearance of a car and I don't think that should be allowed.

The type tool is allowed in 2.0 rules, I klnow. But I always thought it was meant for sole purpose of adding a signature, not changing a car or scenery appearance.

Am I a dick? Say what you think, people. I wanna hear it.
Better straight this now during qualifying than during the 'hard-part'.

This said, I'd like to say a few things about some shots.

NSX @ the Ring - Really nice, only thing is the rims should be spinning a bit faster, imo.

350 @ Nanzenji - Still got my vote, despite being a bit small when enlarged. Beautiful shot and reflections.

Supra au Cerumo - Looks awesome on the preview but when enlarged the car has some big problems with jaggies, wouldn't have took long to fix and it would be a fantastic shot.

White NSX @ hmmm... can't remember now - Awesome clean-up, although there's maybe too much white on the lower right part of the image, makes it look a bit empty. Just a bit. The rims are astonishing!

Last NSX - Superb work on the reflections, congratulations to whoever made that shot. That car seems to like that location a lot. 👍

Well people add signatures if they wanna, after all in Round 1 the Tournament entries are not annonymous anymore. Personally I use less times now the signature, but thats just me. Everyone its free to add their signature.

About the Aston Martin, because it was my fault mostly, I really should have noticed that "detail" I will allow that shot to continue in the poll. U guys can be mad at me, but I think thats the correct thing to do, unless the author wanna give other idea.

Glad to see your opinion man, so as you like to hear what I think I'm going to try it.

I'm agree we need some limits when entering an image, those limit are not very defined really, but at least works.

If you like to limit even more things, then we shouldn't allow PS blur, because "it changes the image, changes an overall appearance of a car" as you said.

Then, we shouldn't allow colors and lights editting, even more since we are ussing dodge tool, burn tool, sponge tool, gradient mapping... and more hardcore techniques wich "change the image, change an overall appearance of a car". Notice adding a spot light what isn't in the image, is adding something external.

Then, we shouldn't allow cleaning, because we are hidding, emphasizing or changing original shapes and fills, so they "change the image, change an overall appearance of a car."

To be honest, I don't know what is the difference between adding your name in the license plate, and adding an amazing new reflection aver a hood. For me, this last actions changes more the image than a text, but everyone say you can do it because everyone have done it since competitions born.

So, what is the limit. Where is the limit. How we can create a defined rules due to the complexity of this problem. Do we need a 3.0 comp? I'm starting to think we really need it lol.

I'm agree NTX. The theme is clear enough I think :)

Some of these pics are breathtaking.
But well done for all entry participants.

Although it did make me wonder, what is an Aston Martin doing in the line-up?

:indiff:

I voted for several because they are all impressive.

Favorites being the white 350Z, the colours and reflections are spot on!
and the Yaris, a great angle on the b&w background. The plate is a nice touch too.

I was tossing a coin as to which division to enter.
Looking at these pics I'm glad I chose PMC.

My possible entry for this division is posted in my gallery,
and I would be grateful for any comments and advice.

Can we go ahead and post our shots in our galleries? I mean, by the looks of it so far every one except the Vette at Tsukuba is in the Tourney, and that shot is down by a considerable amount and I'm honestly doubtful that it'll make a comeback, sorry to who's ever shot that is.

Sorry Loon...but should stay annonymous until the end...unless everyone in 2.0 agree to do the same.
But in PMC nothing its well decided, so in there that cannot happen.

So if more people in this area agree to do it we can?

Come on people, what do you say.

To make this "fair", half of the guys must agree to reveal their shots now. But I think U will get a positive feedback Loon
👍

Its only behind the 300c by 3 votes, from a technical point it should be ahead, the 300c has a border round it where the blurring meets the car.

Maybe, depends on the person I suppose.

Are any rules ever going to stay rules? Or are they constantly going to be in flux depending on what the majority says?

Personally, I think if someone managed to not notice the entire issue in the original thread about Sej's entry (and how he re-shot to comply with the rules), and couldn't keep themselves to the pretty simple rules for the shots, then their shot shouldn't count. What is the point in having themes and restrictions if every time, we feel that they should be ignored to keep the person happy and in the running?
_____________

I'm really liking the shots with realistic tones, and I don't know why the Vette would have the least votes. Also, the whole license-plate thing; changing the plate on the Yaris is a much smaller change than the huge amount of cleanup/redrawing done to the shot right below it, but I don't hear people calling that out. Actually, I'd be more worried about the fact the Yaris looks artificially lowered.

Well Slip...about 2.0 Rules only wheel enlargment its the "new" thing that is allowed. If the rest of the rules gonna be change, its better to be in all 2.0 competitions, this way all comps shall have a same 2.0 division, not only one competition with different 2.0 rules.

About that thing about Sejtur entry, I have warn him about his entry being "illegal" and he simply forgot that the theme was only about Japanese and American cars. Even Sejtur didn´t wanna see a European car in the poll, that exception thing was a topic that didn´t last long, because it would be breaking the rules.
This leaves to another entry here, the Aston Martin one, I know the guy that have made may be a little "guilty", but I assume that it was my mistake, because I should have noticed that the shot was from a European car, so being mostly my fault and since we are already in the poll, I think its better not to disqualify that entry. I must be real blind, because when I look at that shot, it looks like a S2000...that was the fact that really have mistaken me...so once again sorry. The fact of being tired also helped a lot.

👍
