This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:
No they did not, sever issues still persist, and the water in Hong Kong still looks horrible with artifacts!!!is this game worth it now? Fixed all the bugs? I really wanted to like this game after having many fond memories of the first two TDU's
I do agree, still a lot of bugs on PS5, but yes the new map is really nice and yes cruising is where the game shine, racing is meh, they still have a lot of work to put in this game but it's starting to be pleasant, I just wish they once consider to get rid of this always online stuff that bring really nothing to the experienceWill be an unpopular opinion but the game has really likeable elements. Simply driving/slow pace cruising through the map is in my opinion really good. Way better than FH or the crew. The Ibiza addon is truly beautiful I have to say. The racing gets very predictable so they need other gameplay elements but still, Yes it is worth getting the game. I really connect with the cars the game has. And they are trying to bring something good. You can tell they are working hard to improve stuff.
one thing that bothers me is the limited turning radius. especially on Ibiza with all it's tiny roads and bends.I do agree, still a lot of bugs on PS5, but yes the new map is really nice and yes cruising is where the game shine, racing is meh, they still have a lot of work to put in this game but it's starting to be pleasant, I just wish they once consider to get rid of this always online stuff that bring really nothing to the experience

To put it this way. My son (6) likes this game. The Crew Motorfest is still his favorite game. If he could pick between TDU:SC which he has played some, The Crew which he has played some, or GT7 which he has played some (more, I always try to steer him to pick GT ) he would definitely pick The Crew over TDU. Then again, we haven't played TDU in a good while now. Might be interesting to see if Ibiza is worth it. He's not into races, more casual exploring. So for him it'll be "good enough" no matter how improved or not it has gotten. Will be an unpopular opinion but the game has really likeable elements. Have you ever raced at Citta di Aria in GT4?one thing that bothers me is the limited turning radius. especially on Ibiza with all it's tiny roads and bends.
I have yes. Loved that location. To put it this way. My son (6) likes this game. The Crew Motorfest is still his favorite game. It says that his dad(me) was disappointed in his preorder and prefers not to boot up said game and play it himself. Too OCD to accept the cubemap reflections among other irritating things.I have yes. Loved that location.
I can imagine your son chooses The Crew. That doesn't say anything about the qualities of TDU though...
Last I played it, single player is the only way to go. The way they set up the random online races of "importance" means you wait in a lobby for several minutes to be able to play, only for one or two randoms to join and quit in the middle of the race. Insta-win in a not so satisfying way.Would anyone recommend it as a single player game? I have no interest in the online aspects.
I appreciate the Forza Horizon series for its option to do online stuff, but its not needed
it is true that AC Evo will probably be the game we have all been waiting for since the first tdu. Can't wait!I have completly lost hope for tdu solar crown,
But kind of wanted those features you get in tdu,
Assetto corsa evo might actully be the answer, tdu features, with better physics,
With also elements of gt in there, i just cant sit that one out,
My son is also 6, he only plays Cars 3(Disney) and refuses to play other games. To put it this way. My son (6) likes this game. The Crew Motorfest is still his favorite game. In manual, I can't drive at low RPM's anymore. When cruising I often like to keep the RPM's under 3000. When I do that now, the RPM stays at about 3800 until the engine actually reaches 3800. Is that the so called gearbox bug?I agree, and it seems there is a gearbox bug as well
But despite theses bugs it's a big step in the right direction !
Tell your son he's cool. My son refuses to play the Cars games even though he loves the Cars movies. My son is also 6, he only plays Cars 3(Disney) and refuses to play other games.
Absolutly it sure looks to be the most groundbreaking racing game ever released,it is true that AC Evo will probably be the game we have all been waiting for since the first tdu. Can't wait!
The features you are referring to will come in the next season. they said they dropped the clan war battle to focus on those.
I have to say for now I am enjoying cruising the streets of Ibiza, showing off my cars like people use to do in mondaine coastal towns like monaco...
I think so, I was enjoying a lot cruising at low RPM, now it's a mess.... I also have the feeling that something change with direction, it's even harder to turn with the carsIn manual, I can't drive at low RPM's anymore.
