2 wheels on (or vertically in line with)

I am very new to WRS... going to attempt my qualification lap.

before submitting a bad lap, I'd like to exactly understand what "vertically in line with the track" means:

1: no matter the position of the car, the main is that two wheels (L or R) are on the track

2: no light lift-off drift is admitted (just to point the front of the car into the bend); it has to be a perfect grip lap

Can someone help me understand which of the above?

This qualifying race is makin' me so nervous..... :sly:

hello new wrs guy,

what it means is that you have to keep two wheels on track (including rumbles) at all time. if any of those two wheels are airborne -which is fine - at any time make sure they are above some hard surface.

the reason for this rule is to make sure that you dont submit a lap where your wheels are only on track while they are on the ground but all above grass or sand while in the air. at infineon this would for example be possible in the first two left-righters of the track.

ps. what does your username stand for and do you have a first name? 👍

I am Roberto, and since i like the big rocky faces called Moai that you can see in Rapa Nui (Easter Island) for the mystery that surrounds their building up, my nickname is just a tribute.
Nothing about cars, anyway..... :)

Back to the thread, i can definitely drift a bit during the lap, can I?

Yes, drifting is perfectly legal in the WRS, but keep in mind that it may slow you down a bit. If you were to manage to get the car going straight sideways down the back stretch, I think the worst you'd get would be some laughs from the rest of the WRS'ers, but we're a pretty good bunch overall :dopey:

glad to become WRS official clown...

I am not going to drift all over infineon, but just where that d**n understeer makes me and the M3 going for mushrooms on the outside grass...

there's a rookie that's ready to suffer public derision! :) :)
