20 million credits for free!

BUT... Is that a profit-protectionism issue? Or a safety issue having to do with using software at nuclear facilities possibly being open to serious damage done by security holes?

I think this argument, about the usage restrictions, is about protectionism of profits, not protecting public safety, in which case "unrelated" is an understatement, surely (in terms of nuclear facilities).

Append edit: BTW I'm not saying you're wrong for raising that subject. But I think a stipulation about a game for leisure is probably not going to bother with the kind of very specific end user restrictions as one that is imperative for public safety.

The Nuclear clause is part safety, part CYA in case anything goes wrong.

However, other clauses I have seen, that I won't mention here for professional reasons have been purely money driven.

The only difference has been that all the software I have worked on has been B2B commercial. I nearly worked for EA both many years ago, and recently but it never happened, so no gaming experience.

I doubt the terms are much different for leisure software, I do suspect that they are not pursued so rigorously though.

You guys are digging into this way too much.

> earn an average of 50.000cr per race
> realize that most of the good vehicles in the game cost 500.000cr and up.
> realize that I have to grind for weeks in rolling starts in the license races, or wait for Seasonals.

> abuse GT6 for about 5 hours buying and selling M4's

Now, I have about 20 mil after buying every important car and I have another 14 Ferrari GTO race cars which I can sell for 6 mil each. Is that how the game is supposed to be played? Of course not. Will I play GT6 for 4 years like I did with GT5? Of course not. Times require new methods, so now that I bought everything....no, the game is not over. It just began actually. It's actually fun when you have all those vehicles to test and customize, because apparently this is more of a car collector's game than a normal racing game at this point.

Edit: as for the microtransactions....yeah, you can play the game pretty legit and not buy them. No locked vehicles on day one or anything like that, no Sony will not be renamed to $ony, yes the content will come via monthly updates so the game will improve. You're not playing the final version of the game, if you wanted a more complete version the game would be delayed to 2014 and nobody wants that I bet.

Buy M4s, not AMG Merc.
How much is the M4? Can you confirm this 100%?
I need to do my sons game and its psn so have to re-download. It'd be a lot quicker if i wasn't spending 1mill on every amg to sell in 1.00.

120'000, but sells for the same.

OK I must have miss-understood what you meant friend sorry. Thought you were saying i could buy m4 instead of amg to sell in 1.00 for 20 mill every car
Is it only the amg that glitches then? or it there other cars that cost less than 1mill in 1.01??

This is awesome I'm stocking up on those M4s as fast as I can, I just wish they didn't have that long animation each time I buy an M4, it would make the process slightly faster :D

Yes, the M4 can be bought in 1.01 for 120,000 and in 1.00 it can be sold for 20mil. If you want a ton of cars and have little money receive the AMG VGT as a gift. DO NOT GET INTO ANY GLITCH CARS!. Then go back to 1.00. Sell the AMG for 20mil. Buy the 2J (it's a nice car for 15mil). Now go back to 1.01 with 5mil in your pocket. Now buy around 40 M4's, then go back to 1.00, sell the M4's one at a time and go nuts shopping. That should allow you to buy every car over 100,000. I wouldn't buy over 450 or so cars as once you reach 500 cars they have to go to your stockyard. Some people report cars disappearing from their stockyards. Plus you will be tired of buying cars anyways lol.

If you bothered to read this thread, you would know all the answers.
ooh I don't have time to read entire thread. I was under the impression that i could ask away and some helpful person would kindly point me in the right direction..
Don't remember asking you personally anything, so why not just ignore me next time ok

This thread absolutely requires an FAQ amended to the OP! I am growing tired of reading the same questions asked and people with the knowledge are growing tired of answering repeatedly. This is insanity and part of the reason there are 46 pages of mindless, repetitive babble. As knowledge-seekers do not want to read through 46 pages to find answers, I do not want to read through the same redundant inquiries. For those saying that it is "laziness" to not read through 46 pages, it is also idiocracy to do so and to simply not ask. If the OP is not inclined to do so, I am willing to compile an FAQ and forward it to the OP. Sound like a plan?

See!... Some people are just way to :grumpy: lol

I agree. The tricky part is that some people only want 20mil, 50mil, the most expensive cars and some want to go nuts and buy everything. I just posted what I would do if I had to do it all over as it seems like the smartest thing to do. I may go back and fully mod some of my favorite cars which is another consideration for the FAQ/tutorial. I think I read somewhere that it costs around 500,000 to fully mod a car.

Edit also, when you go back to 1.01 the final time you go back with 20mil credits!

You're welcome :). You and your son enjoy your new cars!
Thanks will do fella. think we'll paint up some autobot and decepticon cars lol. You gotta have a bumblebee yellow and black camero. Black and purple look great for the baddies too lol

Just to be safe I kept 2 saves, one before selling and one after w/credits. I'm hesitant to play on the one with the credits as fearing loosing stuff later, thus making this a waste of time. What I noticed is that if you go to the stats page, it shows "current credits", "total earnings", and "total cost of tuning". Couldn't they add a check to see if the "current credits" is greater than "total earnings" + "total cost of tuning"? This has me a bit worried.

I think I'll stay on the "clean" save for now and save the other one for screwing around.

It costs roughly 250k to fully mod a normal road car, so if you got 20Mil, you can mod about 80 cars.
So depending how many road cars you have in your garage... you do the maths :D

In the small chance that PD punishes the glitchers and with the current miniscule payouts that would seriously kill the game for me. They need to focus on finishing the game, fixing bugs and thwarting people already in the process of hacking the game.

With the M4 working with the glitch, I bought 3 of them, and deleted my PSN download version. It takes about 2-3 hours to re-download and install the digital version of the game. If this works, I will sell them and buy some more cars before updating and keeping the max amount of money. Then, I will buy as many M4s as I can and repeat the process. This should allow me to purchase all of the arcade time trial cars I could ever hope to use, which is really the only thing I enjoy with Gran Turismo anymore.

I don't even have my first license yet and have every premium car in the game and a stockpile of 20 mil cars! Ready to do this!

I didn't go completely nuts with this, I now have about 130 cars (all high end race cars ranging from 1,000,000 to 20,000,000) and 50,000,000 credits. I didn't keep any 'stock pile' cars. I figure that's enough money to buy a few normal street cars and tune them. I'm not interested in tuning things like Ferraris or race cars as I prefer to drive them as they came.

So, do you still keep all of your cars if you downgrade, do the glitch, then re-update, or would it reset your saved data?
