20 Minute Presentation Dan Greenawalt!!

Right and offline gamers get 60% of a full price game yay!

Like that's anything new with the current generation of consoles... Then again, I think that it's still quite okay in most of the racing games. Shooters, like Call of Duty, however, with their 10 hour single player mode... :indiff:

Put that **** on Hard and it will take you 20 minimum. You'll also get more points and feel more manly.

I finished MW on veteran in under 7 hours.
Now Halo Reach? I haven't finished it solo legendary yet

Yes Forza has always been really good when it comes to listening to what the community wants. Sounds like this game is going to have almost every single thing the communtiy has asked for from the Forza series. Their games have ALWAYS revolved around the community and online features.

Two things I have asked for and have not received:

Pit options
Qualifications

Qualifying would definitely be soreely needed, at least as an option. I wouldn't want it as a requirement for every career race, but GT3 did it right: You could start from somewhere in the middle of the grid or do the qualifying. I'd love that in FM4.

I guess I was talking more qualifying online (similar to Race Pro). Career would be cool, as an option. Not sure I would do qualifying in the career though.

I wouldn't either, I think... I'd be just as easy to just plow through the field of the AI
Put, yeah, it would be nice for online racing for sure, given how many race leagues there are for Forza, most of them taking the racing pretty seriously...

All i want to see in Forza 4 is an improved PI system, im just so tired of seeing 95% of the cars hopelessly out matched by a handful of leaderboard cars.

Whats the point of having 500+ cars in the game if only 10 ~ 15 of them are any good online.

i stopped playing FM3 altogether after it became apparent that AWD cars (especially drive train swap cars) dominated the leaderboards, due to flaws withing the PI system.

And no the argument that there will always be a dominant car, is not valid, the whole point of the PI system is to balance the cars out performance wise.

That's one of my biggest concerns as well. It's a given that there will always be a dominant car for a given track, though, unless we're getting independant PI values for each track. As long as it's not the same car that dominates different tracks and as long as the difference isn't too big, I'll be okay with it.

Personally, I'd rather see them reduce the amount of AWD swaps in the first place. They're really not common in the real world and, to my knowledge, have only been performed on a really low number of cars... I think that should be the case for FM4, too.
All AWD cars should be able to get a RWD swap, though...

It's impossible to make a class system that can allow 'any' car to be a top 10 car, cars have different suspension/chassis differences that just will prevent it full stop.. and there isn't a practical system that is based on a single number class criteria, it's just far too complex.

However, a simple split of leaderboards into FWD/RWD and AWD would be a good simple workaround..

You can qualify online.

Our race series has qualifying you just have to look for it.

Top of my head.

Advanced options set lobby to fastest lap wins.

Set grid to lobbies points. Viola. Highest points leader starts at front based on his fastest lap.

Set qualifying to no collision too if you want.

Lots of options you just have to work em out. You can save your lobby options too, I saved mine to HD.

You will have to restart a room if you want to do another qualy as your points carry over.

We used to do a reverse grid second race.

That is what we do now ;)...but it's essentially a "work around" and it works. I would like to see it as official qualifying, and have it roll over to the next races as well so we don't have to restart room.

Great minds think a like though :). We are kinda number nerds for our team as we run a spreadsheet (Google Docs on our lap tops) and we enter all of our stats in real time next to use.

Did I just say that in public :dunce:

why an xbox exclusive game looks better than a ps3 exclusive game?
why has Foraz4 more features than a GT5?

So in reality the PS3 is not so good?

Why is the PS3 so expensive then?

They are pretty the same in power. Each year they produce better and better games. GT6 will probably raise the bar then FM5 will raise the bar.

BTW, GT5 has more features than FM4.

^ If GT6 comes out before FM5. Which I doubt.

Anyways, concluding a console's power based on what one perceives as good looks is, well, naive at best, in my opinion.

Also, I doubt that there's anything on the Xbox that could match the Uncharted games.

. . . .

F3 has the

-several tuning options, for beginners and experts
-many online game modes
-Leaderboards for all
-no loading time between the option
-continuous, custom ingame music, without interruption

And that only a small insight into F3
This will also be available in F4
+ the game modes now presented

dont tell me that the track editor from GT5 is a good Feature

btw;
GT5 is a nice little indi game XD

Gears 3 destroys any Uncharted game. Not to mention, Crysis 2, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock Infinite, Battlefield 3, Assassins Creed Brotherhood are prime examples as well.

If you want to get into a feature list comparison, please bring it to the GT vs. Forza thread.

There sure is. Why not head over there bell, I'm sure you would get on swimmingly with the likes of Astro Racer, Tenacious D and Saidur Ali.

👍
