EDIT: The front straight at Grattan is "only" 3200 ft in length...

Complaints about the CLS55 were that it felt slow, and thus acted that way. It didn't like the quick transitions the track give, and the transmission was reluctant to do anything in some situations. Grip was there, back, and there again (.93g), but the steering was too heavy to give that feeling.

The STS-V was mostly praised for it's cheap price, which allowed to to pass the CLS55 for 2nd place. But the problems were mostly with the excessive up-and-down motions of the suspension (even when in competition mode), and excessive break dive. But with the cheaper price and overall comparable performance, it won over a few hearts.

Of the M5, it would seem that the complaints have been the same at every magazine: Too stiff of a ride, poor shift quality SMG transmission, and the GD iDrive... Other than that, perfect for a track day or a sportlich drive down the road.

STS-V fights with price 👍

Yeah, I've seen the review a few times. Same complaints as always... Backwards technology, shoddy plastics, and the damn ding the door makes. But other than that, he seemed to be ok with it.

I would be interested to see if their opinion has changed with the introduction of the LS2 and modified T56 that was altered to fit Cadillac specifications.

Drop an LS7 under the hood of the CTS-V, match it up with the RS4 and the new V8 M3, and we would probably see a battle of epic porportions... Ohh, and I guess Mercedes could pring the C55, only it would have to have the S/C setup out of the old E55 and whatnot...

Behold the new C63 AMG!!

Im sure you cant go anymore with the current C55. The engine bay is cramped to the max already, isnt it?
