@Solid Lifters: I'll be there right with you brother, clicking through channels on Keyhole TV, hoping to find the right one. lol

Try this link series to search for the channel once you get it on keyhole because keyhole has pretty poor quality in comparison.

http://www.tvchannelsfree.com/watch/5720/TV-Tokyo.html

TV Tokyo - now that's some high quality programming, I'll tell you. lol

If you find the channel up it here. I'll do the same. Good luck!

Thanks for the link! That is much better quality video. 👍

I just hope I can watch Super GT racing live from this station. It should be just perfect for what I'm looking for. I'm tired of waiting for SPEED to do the right thing.

EDIT: Here is the Super GT websites Broadcast List for the races.

I don't think Tokyo TV will anything about the race. The Tokyo TV being aired in the above link is the same channel as the TV Tokyo listed below. It appears to me only 3 TV channels with air the race, one including J Sports Motor but I cannot understand when or where it airs. Anybody have a good Japanese translator? So far, I don't think any of the three online TV website will air this channel.

The only thing with "Tokyo" in the title, as far as TV stations that air Super GT according to the Super GT website, is this one... TV Tokyo. Again, any good translation would be greatly appreciated. I haven't had any good luck with Google Translator. What I was able to translate, there's a movie about a 'cherry' farmer and a murder airing when the race is starting. However, there is a something that airs later in the evening (5:30PM Tokyo Time) with GT in the title that is related to Super GT, but I don't know what it is.

The third, and final, Japanese TV station that airs Super GT programming is this one... BS4. Good luck with that one.

At one time, during the 2006 season, Euro Sport France aired the races, but doesn't appear on their schedule this year. You can click on their link I just provided to see what they do offer.

If anybody else wants to do more research on this, go right ahead. I've got no more time today to do it. If you find a website online that is airing the race live, post it up! 👍

It was aired on J Sport ESPN. Here's a link to the schedule for future reference:

I'll check on it, thanks.

I saw you posting at JustinTV. lol

I watched the race, even though it was difficult to do so. The rain, plus the bad (typical internet) video quality, plus the aspect ratio was a bit off without being able to fix it made the race a lot less enjoyable compared to HD on my HDTV set. But, I was happy to get it.

Will JustinTV have the race next month?

BTW, what the drivers have to go through on the podium is just ridiculous!

Yeah, what a race! It was drenched for the first half, and you're right about the podium, I was almost embarrassed for them. Believe it or not I've been watching the last two seasons and the quality is similar as available online. I just open an extra browser and play it on my HDTV in full screen mode. Considering it's in Japanese, it's passable. For my first live Super GT race it could have been worse ... KeyholeTV... lol!

With all of the people watching on the site, I would assume so. I'll see you there!
Take it easy!

The Team Nova/Hitsoyama Aston finish the race, but boy they were slow. The only reason they weren't last A in GT500 were becuase the Sard SC430 had mchanical issuse, or was that the GT-R, or was that both... Any who, I saw them get lapped by the His GT-R (weird name eh?) on the striaght, and it seems they are down on power, and handling.
I've also heard that the Aston will only race in the 2 races at Fuji, shame really. And that DAISHIN ADVAN Ferrari, is apparently, If my eyes dont decieve me, A GT2 ferrari! Maybe they're going to Apply for the AsianLMS?

Yep, they practically ran the Aston Martin in the FIA GT1 specs, which as you can see is very weak. I'll never understand why they just ran it like that when they knew full well they were gonna be outperformed. Seriously, why even bother? I guess since its not a full season campaign, they really don't care.

Yes, it was a GT2 spec Ferrari. Why they ran it in the race, no idea but I sure do hope thats a sign that we'll see a Asian Le Mans series.

It was both. I saw the GT-R in a steaming heap of fractured body panels as one of its wheels proceeded toward the finish line. At which time I sang my usual, "You picked a fine time to leave me, loose wheel (Lucille)."

The only thing they have to do is strangle the engine to the allowed 500 bhp. AFAIK they can´t touch the aero either, so the FIA cars stand little to no chance against the GT500 cars, who pack LMP2 downforce numbers (wich is current IRL comparable).

I just updated the race distances in this post. We now know what the distance for the Twin Ring Motegi race is and that the May race at Fuji and the August race at Suzuka are going to be shorter than those races from last year.

From what I've been reading on Super GT's [English] site, I've heard Nissan's been kicking butt in Super GT. The second race is this weekend at the amazing Suzuka Circuit. I got to notice some of the newer cars in the series. There's a car that looks like a Scion tC, but it's the Corolla Axio (or maybe it's the Japanese version of the Scion tC). Have a look at this car from a number of angles:

Pretty lovely car. Almost like a Japanese DTM Race car, only not with absolutely extreme bodywork to rival DTM race cars. Ever since the new-age NSX'es came out around 2003 or 2004, I've fell in love with them. They look great. A compliment of Lamborghini Murciélagos, Lamborghini Gallardos, 350/Fairlady Z's, a BMW Z4, the Lexus IS250, Vemacs, and even an Aston Martin DBR9 GT racer are in th lineup. I'm very surpised there isn't an RX-8 Super GT car. I only know Amemiya-san can make ANY Mazda come alive with great performance.

^ Why Should You Care: Super GT, by me

Best of luck to all teams this season!

The next race in the championship will be at Suzuka this weekend. I'll try and catch up with whatever happens this weekend at Suzuka in the first of two stops at the Suzuka Circuit.

You are right. Suzuka takes up 1000 km of this years distance total for all the SuperGT races. Unfortunately - as JohnBM01 already mentioned - it's for 2 races. This years Pokka is 700 km in length. :(

Hey RACECAR, is the link to watch the race the same as last time?

The race just started and does anybody know where I can watch it online? The former link "JustinTV" doesn't have the race.

Congratulations to ZENT CERUMO SC430 drivers Yuji Tachikawa and Richard Lyons on their come from behind win in GT500 and HANKOOK PORSCHE pilots Mitsuhiro Kino****a and Masami Kageyama taking top GT300 honors at the KEIHIN SUZUKA 2&4 RACE held over the weekend at the Suzuka Circuit.
Next round will be the Fuji GT 400km Race with Qualifying on Sunday, May 3rd and the race on Monday, May 4th

I can't find anything. Thats another damn race I'm gonna miss.:indiff:

Congratulations to Satoshi Motoyama and Benoit Treluyer(Motul Autech GT-R) along with Morio Nitta and Shinichi Takagi(ARTA Garaiya) on winning their respective classes in Monday's Fuji 400km Race.

For the next round, the series makes it's way to Malaysia and it's annual visit to the Sepang Circuit on June 20th - 21st.
