I don't know, it's a tough one to decide who's fault it was. Porsche's for stopping, or Clio's for not paying attention.

I'd say the Clio did a pretty damn good job dodging the faster cars during the race for 24 hours. That's what I assume anyway.

Sorry that behaviour of the Porsche driver is totally unacceptable, running for 3rd or not. anyway, spiffing race!

Stop the fighting over this stupid accident!
The accident could've been easily prevented if either the Porsche would braked like a lunatic and from the Clio as well, if he would've payed some attention!

Can I ask why he braked didn't he know he had one more lap?

It was great hanging out with fellow GTPlanet members who love some endurance racing. Now I'm gonna hit the sack, man I'm beat. I'll go drive on the Nurburgring in GT4 later.

Peace out. :)

Great race. Congratulations to Audi, Team GT Academy, The Dude and all those that completed th 24! And thanks to GTPlanet for keeping everyone informed.

who's fighting?

If the Porsche 'braked like a lunatic' wouldn't the R8 have hit him? he was directly behind him when he slowed

If you look, there has been a discussion going on whether who's at fault.
Called it fight, discussion or whatever.

I think that both drivers are at fault.

Thats the first time I've ever seen 'spiffing' posted on the internet, I thought it died in the 40's ;)

Lol. Well, P. G. Wodehouse uses this kind of vocabulary so it rubs of a bit after some time I guess. Though I really love the ring these words have to them. Such beauty.

Anyway, the first two hours were a bit too mad for my liking but after that: what an event.

Great coverage of RLM and good stream by Audi.tv.

Have to get 16 hours of listening to the RLM guys out of my system. ;)

I'd like to join the room aswell.. been following RLM and this thread since start.. just not a big poster :)

Oh, room full :(

Apologies for some pics being larger than others. Photobucket hates me. :)

If LeMans is half as exciting as this race it'll be a cracker :)

Poolhaas, MarcoM and me did go see ChrisTheDude. (MarcoM has the picture)

First he was sleeping, it was 8h40. Then a blonde motivational coach went to wake him up and give him a massage, ... MarcoM was pretty jealous.
Finally we had a good chat with Chris and helped him to wake up, by 9h35 he was taking the wheel. Nice chap, serious about his driving as he seems to be a pro.

This is a picture from his session this morning:

It seems they went out after 129 Laps.

In the beginning we did not see this car a lot:

But it came out later in the morning, not clear what happened.
Anyway winner of the SP8T, position 30 overall.

We saw a lot of close battles and many, many trees on the Nordschleife:

More pictures later.

Great story and such a shame having to retire. Looking forward to the pictures.

As for the 123 there was a lot of talk the GT-R was near road standard? If so (hoping for more specs to be released later in GT-TV) what a machine!

Hm, I listen to Le Mans too, but for completely different reasons. Although its getting more and more difficult (aka expensive) to participate in the N24, and in my opinion too much money is poured in by the big players, the whole thing is still grassroots to some extent.

Le Mans: I simply love the GT class and the LMPs at the same time on screen. And of course the RLM coverage with their interviews and whitty banter after they are pumped full with coffee.

I'm going to download the podcast now and listen to what I missed during the night while doing some gardening.
