Oulton just suits RWD better with plenty of changes of camber within the same corner, they just get their power down more effectively. If it gets to 3/4 of the way through the season and the BMW's and Audi are still dominating, then that's the time to start thinking about adjusting the rules.

I noticed 888 weren't saying anything when the BMWs weren't up the front at Thruxton.

This is exactly why I cannot stand Jason Plato! He is demonstrates in qualifying that he is quick. He shows that he can race by passing Collard initially. Then he retakes the position by punting him out wide (I know this is a part of touring cars, but it seems to be the ONLY way he can actually pass someone). Then he complains that he hasn't won, preferably with a dig at his current team / car with it. When he does win, it is despite of being held back by the team / car and thanks only to his prowess that would be champion if powered by LPG like the rules allow / opted for a turbo NGTC engine that the rules allow / ran a RWD car that the rules allow.

And this is why me and my family despise him with a passion.

He can't ever, ever accept that he just can't get the job done, and instead has to attack someone/something else for his struggles. It's the stupid turbo debacle again. Also, 888? More like JP trying to run the team, as per usual.

Just wondering, @Furinkazen, were you able to hear a woman shouting for Plato to get binned off down at Cascades at all?

Fp1 over now. Rained 10 or so minutes in so times aren't very representive. Gio had a slide through t1s gravel and apperently a crash with Rob Austin too. Only red flag caused by Moffats car going into the gravel I think.

Lea Wood went drifting again too Furi :sly:.

Fp2 went smoothly weather wise being dry all the way. But there was a red flag for Austin crashing into the barriers heavily which caused major damage for both car and barriers. Apparently he managed to snap supporting posts too. So that ended the session 9 minutes early.

.370 to Plato so more like .4 even with 27kgs more than Plato. BMW handling and Turks is still very OP here :P.

Everyone else was nowhere vs Turks.

But we'd be kidding ourselves if we weren't expecting this. Maybe not that much of an advantage though.

Hence I said "still" ;).

Seen it first hand. We even got in the WSR pit garage last year here :D.

Still it's on for 2nd, that will be exciting :).

Edit: The Juniors just went 3 wide for the lead up the pit straight . It was Kellet Norris and Mitchell I think.

No surprise that Plato is whinging again.

From btcc.net:

Jason Plato said: “That was the best I could do. We didn’t have the best run-ins for qualifying with the issues this morning which meant that we perhaps hadn’t quite built the perfect rhythm up. That said there’s no more than a tenth left on the table. It’s just the way it is – weight corrected we’re miles off the pace and with the package we’ve got that’s just how it is. With the BMW now 18 months into its development it’s reached the point where their package – weight distribution, longitudinal engine, rear-wheel drive etc makes it a better package. I’m just grumpy I’m not in a rear-wheel drive car – it’s going to be a case of racing for second tomorrow for us. That’s what happens when you get a great driver (Turkington) in a car with an advantage.”

Plato. Just. Shut. Up.

Just because your car isn't fastest anymore.

I was going to say, we've had a few MG dominating weekends over the last couple of years and he never thought his car should be slowed down, and nobody ever complained about his car being too fast.
