Round 17 Results:

Legend:
GREEN BOX = Race win - gained 1 Consecutive Pick
RED BOX = Driver failed to finish - can be used next week without using CP
(CP) = Consecutive Pick used for selection
(P10) = 10 point penalty for selection, no CP available for this pick

Notes:

No new entries are being allowed at this time, as we are more than halfway through the regular season.

The Consecutive Pick for most points scored in round 17 was won by @BlacqueJacques, with 130 points.

Nine entries received 2 bonus points for picking pole-winner Brad Keselowski before qualifying.

Thirteen players received a Consecutive Pick for picking race winner Brad Keselowski.

Two Consecutive Picks were spent this week.

Every player submitted picks this week.

No one selected Ryan Newman (3rd).

The first four drivers below the Chase cutoff in last week's standings all selected race-winner Brad K this week. Three of those four also selected 2nd place Kyle Busch.

The two drivers that were right above the Chase cutoff last week both scored a very solid 2nd/4th/10th this week.

This week's average score was 110 points.

Truck Race bonus points:
2nd place - #54 Wallace: +4 points (Earth, Chqr, BKGlover, jmacca)
3rd place - #29 Blaney: +3 points (Niop, Matty, Dolph Drago, BlacqueJacques)

Nationwide Race bonus points:
5th place - #12 Blaney: +1 point (MustangRyan, Spacegoat, TheBook, Dolph Drago)

Please let me know if you see any errors in anyone's score. Scoring errors will only be corrected up until the start of the next race.

Missed out on the bonus CP for most points in the round by one single point. Curse you Johnny Sauter, knew I should have gone with Blaney for the Truck race instead.

FYI, bonus points (including pole position bonus) do not figure into the bonus CP for most points scored in each round. Only your points earned by your three drivers is counted towards the highest score bonus CP.

Ah,okay. My mistake. Thanks for the clarification. 👍

And this is why I have given up on doing well this season. To make any headway, you'll have to pick top 7 or better every week, not something I am capable of doing regularly. A 6/7/9 weekend +4 truck points and I earned one more than the average, only beat three by a sizable margin, and along with Matty made NO progress against the immediate competition.

I have one question... How the 🤬 do you guys do it every 🤬 week!?

Y'know what, no. Ryan, I've already made picks, but I've no confidence in them or myself. I'll take the RNG Challenge.
If it makes you feel any better, two of the three drivers have won a race in the last 2 years.

Plate tracks are a lottery where I'm usually guaranteed to pick poorly. For the 2nd time in a row, I go with random draw.
BKGlover and Carbonox are in for the randomly generated picks, which will probably beat my picks.

We're up to four taking the randomly-generated picks:

BKGlover, Carbonox, TheBook, FireEmblem10

EDIT:

Added Gerarghini.

By the way, if the green and orange car is amongst the random picks, I'd just like to make it clear that it won't truly mean I'm supporting its driver or anything. :P

Oops internet was slow so I hit post twice by mistake.

I am going with Joey (22), Jeff (24) and Dale Jr. (88); hopefully I stay in the Chase after this one :nervous:
