1. Entry List now in OP.

2. @DaxCobra are you guys going to be 'local' again?

3. I'm not convinced that we need to do anything to balance 'local' and 'network' teams.

- IIRC full pit stops, i.e. from pit it - full tank of fuel - pit out was less than 60 seconds.
- 'Network' teams were taking about 15-30 seconds to switch over.
- So based on a 50s full pit stop, and a 10s driver change, thats a net 40s pit stop.
- That makes the delta between 10-25 seconds.
- However the 'local' teams don't get a buggy set of tyres every driver change...
- Also 'local' could pit with the amount of fuel of their choice, speeding up change over pit stops.
- Finally, changeable weather will play havoc with strategy. 'Network' teams will be at a slight disadvantage if their have a rigid timetable.

4. What are you guys' thoughts on the cars?

cars are ok ,mybe bit more power,bt im ok with that also.should be fun:tup:

All I know is that the network teams were definitely gaining an advantage in the pits. Yeah we will be local again. :)

Hmmm, seems like maybe there isn't so much interest in the Brands race. Shame GT6 doesn't have a Sebring, then we could run alongside the actual 12 Hour race like we did at Bathurst.

I know that some people on my PSN are a little interested in the race at Brands because they've been asking about it...whether that materialises into actual sign-ups - who knows.

What is the state of play here, anyway?

Nemo, haven't seen you online in a while mate. Hope things are well with you...

Are we still on for this weekend?

Yeh I agree Mamaghi. Let's hope things are OK with Nemo and that he updates us soon.
Might be a good idea to postpone the race if interest is low...

Yeh I know... Was actually about to rally you and the guys together for some practise sessions this week (I know you've already been putting in some laps anyway)... hardly seems worth it now.

Let's wait and see...

we are ready anyway!

Hi Guys,

I'm really sorry, I've been super busy and have had a lot on my plate, and therefore have not had the time to put the work into this, and now I'm not going to be free this weekend to run the event.

I think we should bin this one and go back to the formula of running real events, close to their actual dates.

Again many apologies.

The following has been published today;

- Sporting Regulations
- Technical Regulations for GT4
- Technical Regulations for GT CUP
- Entry List
- Event Schedule

N.B. BoP is not final, some tweaks still need to be made.

Hi AJ, just noticed this is about a month away and there seems to be only 4 entries, will the race still go ahead with 4 entries?

I am fairly sure the race start time is putting some potential teams off, 7am UTC (GMT) = 8am BST, that is early enough here in UK/Europe, but in the USA (east coast) that is 3am and west coast is 1am, I can see that teams from the US will be put off by the start time.

Would it not be better to start at 1pm UTC (GMT), this would then bring the start time on the west coast US to 7am and therefore might bring some new interest.

We have more than 4 entries to date, we only have 4 entries that have chosen their class and car to date.

With the 24s it doesn't really matter when they start, but with 12s we have more latitude to get a good time for everyone, but when we are all over the world, that is never going to happen.

Matching in game time of day (ToD) to real world ToD, like we did at Le Mans, makes sense.

With Brands, in game ToD (Gran Truismo Time) ranges from 06:00 - 20:00 GTT, so if we want to stick to this formula, 07:00 - 19:00 UTC is our only time slot.

This is where having multinational teams comes into play. ;)

Event Update - 9 AUG

- GT CUP BoP updated, and Lotus removed.

- GT4 BoP update due next week, LEXUS IS F CCS-R will be removed.

- Sup Regs will be published on Friday.

- Clarification on upgrades;

Great, thanks. How are the MAX BOOST PRESSURE numbers used to figure out which upgrades can be used? For example, if a car has MBP of 0.6 - what does this mean?

0.6 means at full throttle the car's boost pressue should not rest higher than 60% of the gauge.

From the Tech Regs;

3.2.d - Upgrades are permitted, except the use of forced induction (Turbo or Supercharger), which may be prohibited or limited as defined in Appendix A.

So, to clarify; ANY upgrades are permitted, however some cars are not allowed Turbos or Superchargers, as indicated by a 'n/a' under the BOOST column, whilst some cars are only allowed limited pressure, as indicated by a number under the BOOST column.

Oh, OK, cool, I was going by the OP, I had better start getting myself set up and prepared then  👍

@AJ "I'll Owe You Won Racing" Motorsports will be supplied with a minimum of 1 car for the 12 Hours of London. If time and resources wear thin the closer we get to race date, I will separate from the main core of the team and run an Ironman 12 hours supporting our second car #69 for the 12 hours of London.

I know it is against regulations, but in a time of need, we are here to support you. I am confident that it will not come to having to run an Ironman race to fill the ranks, but the challenge of doing so is so enticing to me :-)

Event Update - 10 AUG

1 - Class Names

This is probably going to cause a headache in the short term, but I've decided to change the class titles to better represent the cars in them.

GT4 is now GT Cup, and GT Cup is now Group N. The cars in the new Group N class closely match VLN's V classes, and Group N is a good catch all title for close to 'showroom' spec touring cars.

2 - BoP

GT Cup (Old GT4) has been updated, changes almost everywhere. As I trailed yesterday the LEXUS IS F CCS-R has been removed.

@Greasy07 - Sorry mate, your profile was blocked so I made a guess.

I'll add nationality to the Entry Form so it doesn't happen again.
