Ahhhhh.... I have pre-debs night before down the country.. It's going to consist of LOTS of drink...
So I'll probably be back on time. But I'll be very sick I guess.. So will team mate Adam if he can drive. So put me in room 2 and Adam 3. We'll be driving VERY slow and making extra pit stops for when we need to get sick haha

Please note that this is a triple lobby/room race so you need a driver in each in order to secure a decent result. If you only enter in 2 of the rooms you are basically ensuring that the BEST result your team can achieve is to complete 2/3 of race distance. Still good practise for the drivers that race, but it will seriously limit your team result potential.

Also, please can all teams comply with the registration format and copy the most up to date list, paste it into a reply post, then edit and add in your teams driver details(PSN ID's).

Please also use this post to confirm the colour of your team car (if paintable, all three cars should be the same colour) and each drivers race number which can/should be different (again, IF this is something GT6 allows you to change).

For example, when TMB have a car where we can change the race numbers we run #34,35 & 36 but the Shared TEAM car for the N24 would be #33. The 'base' M3's and GTR's all have customisable body colour and race numbers.

It shouldn't be for me, Nin or any of the regulars to 'guess' what you want and do this for you.

Stewarding:
This is a Stewarded event, so make sure you read the rules and keep your driving in check. We are expecting an Incident report from every driver within 24h of the race finish!!! If you are not aware of what one is, it is the lap and incident you had and who with.

Room opening:
Rooms will be opened at 21:00 GMT, All drivers need to have the host added to their friends list (it is not the host responsibility to add drivers)

Spec Check:
Spec Check will happen at 21:30 GMT and should last about 5 mins. Please be silent for this so that the host can get through it faster.

Qulifuying:
Will be 20 mins, The track will be changed and then changed back to remove all times. Once the track has loaded then qualifying has started. The time will be shown in the top right corner, after the clock hits 20 mins then qualifying will be over. There will be a 5 min break for any drivers to get drinks, go to the toilet etc. The host will announce this when the 5 mins will end.

Start:
The start will be a Rolling start in 2x2 formation, The leader will roll out of turn 12 at 40MPH/64KPH in the 2x2 formation. Once in the acceleration zone the leader will go at full throttle (With no lifting) and the host will call green.


Odds will start on the left even on the right, If the same issue happens as round one where people start out of place, that driver will be disqualified.

Finish:
The finish will be when the message pops up that the leader has passed the line for 1 more lap. (Lap 22) you will then make your way to turn 11 of the GP circuit and wait behind the leader until the last person has reached the same place. After that you may finish the race or leave.

Scoring:
This is a team event, therefore the teams time will be added together and the team with the smallest number wins and will receive the top points. AM teams and Pro teams will be scored in different categories as this is qualifying for the N24.

Time progression:
This is the second instalment of the VLN series and it will take place in the mid day. Time will be set to 1 so that you get a good idea how the real race will work.

Coms/Text:
Please do not use headsets or the text box in qualifying of the race. Its distracting and not very considerate. If you do it you will be asked to leave the series.

Lapping cars:
New rules for Round 2 onwards are, you must over take a car on the left, lapped car stay right, if the car is not on the right then it is not safe to over take (by faster cars judgment). Failure to do so may mean a blue flags penalty.

Also may I recommend that you coast into the pits once you pass the pit barrier because(not sure about DS3 users) if you enter the pits with full power it selects the pit dialogue straight away, like if you want to change fuel figures you can't do that because it is set to top up by default, so I recommend you coast into the pits and you can select your pit options manually.

The VLN Championship will decide the grid starting order for the GTPN24, and will also allow the organisers/stewards to check driving etiquette/standards of all drivers bidding to participate in February's GTPN24.

For the teams, the VLN gives valuable practise running in the car you'll be using in Feb, and experience of racing against the other competing teams.

Since the placement doesn't matter isn't it better to out drivers where they will have the most equal opposition?

In a triple room total time race it's not so important with 'seeding' as it's almost like a time trial but as we hope to have some livestreams running we want to ensure the first two rooms have good numbers, but equally we would like to have similar numbers of drivers in each room to ensure interest for all.

Leave it as is at present and lets see if you manage to get a reserve driver to join you. If you are a 'two' then the organisers reserve the right to move drivers about to ensure sensible numbers in each race room.

Other teams have used reserves so I've no issue with using Lancer in your 3rd car, but we hope your regular driver can make it for VLN R3.
