2014 Rolex Australian Grand Prix

My take on the F1 sounds at the track. They sound like Ducatis when accelerating. Off throttle to brake for Turn 1, there is a high pitch constant whistle. Almost like the initial sound of squeaky brake rotors. I like the sound. Full throttle it doeant hurt my ears at all. You can talk and hear yourself think. The cars do seem more high tech. Plus, they sound aggressive with that induction noise.

Europe. Book a budget flight, book a budget hotel a city away and get the train/bus out to the circuit. Prices really aren't so bad and it's an absolute blast.

Yeah, good stuff. Im walking back home (digs in some more) to eat and watch qualifying. I'll be at the track from the final V8 race to the checkered flag. Only downside are the other support races. They need Reb Bull Jrs or Touring Car Masters or GT3 racing. The Porsche cup is okay, but the V8 races are way too short. Pit stops could probably help. I am sad there is only one more day, then having to wait another year.

I was at the Erebus pit most of the time. Then Brocky's Hill for a second. then turn 13 & 14. Then turn 1. You may have seen me. I wear a green Senna cap.

Would be fantastic if Webber could give driver insight each race meeting. Most sports have that: NBA, NFL, NRL, AFL. Motorsport, especially F1 broadcasting would do good to get recent driver insight( wont happen). Good to see and hear answers to questions from a recent driver.

From the circuit cameras, the cars sound good, but from the onboard cameras, they sound like total crap. I personally wish the cars used V10 Turbos instead so that turbo fans would get what they want and the screamers would get what they want as well. Its the best of both worlds.

We have to listen to David Hobbs, Steve Matchett, and Leigh Diffey here in the states, thats painful enough. They treat everyone like they don't have a clue what Formula One is. I wish we had the Sky Commentary or the race with no commentary at all...
