DP wasn't in the lead, better have a caution.

Another reason this series is 🤬 downhill. ALMS didn't need tons of yellows for exciting finishes and racing. A caution for a car that cannot be hit unless someone is in catastrophic trouble.

@LMSCorvetteGT2 - Well they lost around 50 seconds according to twitter. Guess it depends on pit cycle.

🤬 This series. There didn't even need to be a local yellow there, let alone a full course caution. It's all BS engineered to create a false close finish.

After messing up the penalty earlier and now this, I don't think I'll bother to watch the sprint races. It's just pathetic.

I was hoping the last hour would be yellow-free so nobody could make accusations of them "fixing" the finish. Oh well. At least the is actually having to be towed this time and didn't keep going under it's own power. Or "Dead squirrel in turn 1! Throw a yellow for debris!" :)

I guess this is (one of the reasons) why I'm not on the commentary team this year. Yet another unnecessary yellow. #WanttoSeeRealRacing

Well I feel that the early pit for RSR would hurt their long run since Vette and Viper will pit and that will be the final stop. RSR may save a bit of fuel under caution but not sure if it's enough to the end.

And the Corvette is screwed now...

11th caution. Coincidentally with approx 45 mins left. This is set up for a great finish across all classes and even now no one knows if it will be Corvette DP or HPD. I would love to see the Honda win in a somewhat stacked DP field.

After remembering some stuff, yeah. I actually now agree with you lot :P. The corvette DP was catching up. It would've been like the 2011 Le Mans :(.

Fuel lasts about 55 minutes on the GTLM so with the safety period, so the Porsche definitely should make it to the end. Fingers crossed.

Yeah I heard them say that, that is why I said the Porsche should be since these laps will help save fuel but you never know for sure if they got it all the way. This looks to be a long caution so I'm guessing they'll be quite fine.

Did the #10 Corvette DP have an issue? They were all over the top 3 spots for a bit, but have been sitting back in 9th for a while now.

Have a look at David Heinemeier Hansson on twitter, bad enough if the drivers are annoyed by it.

I was starting to get interested in that through the last stint, was shaping up nicely until NASCAR intervened.

As Michael Shank said in Auguest 2013:

"...Races without cautions are a travesty that would have (NASCAR founder) Bill France turning over in his grave.”
Apologies Michael, and Bill, but I beg to differ.

Live from the infield, a torch with horns on it

The TV fade transition from Jeff Segal's in car helmet shot to that touch with horns on it made it appear that Jeff's helmet exploded. I'm probably the only one that saw it like that.

Dat ass on that vette while pulling into the pits though.

Yes. Gets boring unless we have a caution every 45 mins. Screw strategy.
Cautions also last too long
