I reckon you just named a potential T888 line up :)
Same. I knew the left overs would be 'shoved in the corner' but still expected three potential race winners for BMR
Seems Neate and Cole will have their own personal fight

Regardless it's shaping up for another great season and I'm struggling to pick a winner

Made the mistake of forgetting the wife's camera today, and the pictures i took on my phone may as well be potato prints.... Seeing the beauties above almost made me cry with envy. They are bloody spectacular Roo, and i think the rain may even have improved them.

So Austin would have been joined at Handy by Abbott...

Ta folks!

That blue is even more stunning on track, I can't wait to see it in motion as well!

You mispelt "vile". I've now seen it in the sunshine as well as the rain, and it's awful regardless.

(I'm not a fan of shiny things. Can you tell?)

Post 'em. This isn't a competition.

Today was dry, bright and rather more pleasant than yesterday. I was hoping to see BMR's new Subarus - they attended last year with the Passats - but alas it wasn't to be. The only new appearance overnight was some Scottish bloke in a Honda hack. If @Heldenzeit ran a BTCC Civic, I reckon it would look a lot like this:

That aside, it was business as usual. Jordan ran the Focus in the morning sessions and packed up at lunchtime; the rest (Shedden, Depper, Smith, Martin, Simpson, Goff) ran all day.

The new engine sounds interesting in the 2016 Civic.

The new engine sounds interesting in the 2016 Civic.

It does. A much lower, more gruff sound, noticeably different to Simpson's Civic and the Eurotech cars. I wondered if they'd stuck a Volvo V8 under the bonnet for giggles.

I'm looking forward to hearing how the Mountune-tweaked boxer units sound in the BMR Levorgs.

Furi's silly season driver chart, version 7 - with a few small but major updates from T888, Honda, BMR, AMD, Handy, Motorbase, Dextra

WSR / BMW 1 Series
Also known as: "The Longer The Sponsor Name, And Car Number, The Better!"

Goff / Tordoff / Collard
Collard now confirmed at WSR with Tordoff in chrome BMWs. Jack Goff revealed at ASI moving from T888 to WSR, driving the ex Priaulx IHG car Interestingly, i've heard it is a free drive. Collard had said hew was "open to offers" out other teams, Priaulx off to Ford WEC, Richard Hawken sponsors appeared on a facebook post showing the BMW's being prepared.

T888 / MG ???
Also known as: "We can't keep our drivers"

??? / ???
Currently 2 TBL's, hot rumour was a third TBL coming courtesy of BMR, who's owner Warren Scott owns some of the operation. Could become the "BMR Rejects" team. Confirmed with a new MG for 2016-18, no word on if it is a new model, but almost surely a facelift at least. However, now the grids taking shape they're running out of drivers to sign... Still willing to put a tenner on Menu being involved...

HONDA YUASA RACING / HONDA CIVIC
Also known as: "Shorty & Lankys Championship-Winning Team"

Neal / Shedden / Neate
Three TBLs, with Neal and Shedden as usual confirmed. Andy Neate surprisingly gets the seat after failing to buy a seat with WSR - Jack Clarke was signed in 2015 as a "Honda Development Driver", and appeared most likely candidate for the seat, but didn't get it - perhaps Eurotech-bound? The New Civic also has a brand-new engine in it this year, sounding much more like one of those annoying hot hatches that rip and down your local housing estate.

TEAM BMR RESTART / SUBARU LEVORG
Also known as: "Death Star Scooby Doo Team"

Plato / Turkington / Scott / Cole
Gaining Subaru manufacturer backing with that most obvious of choices, a RWD Estate. Using Mountune Boxer 4 Cylinder for added bwap bwap bwap. Plato confirmed, and cannot whinge about RWD anymore having helped broker the deal. Turkington confirmed, so expect him to be quick back in a RWD. Rumours were at first that Warren Scott was driving a third car being built up, and that a fourth car would not happen despite a shell being built. as well as a chance of a TBL shifted to T888 / The BMR Rejects Team, as Scott owns both teams. Aron Smith wasn't employee of the month after Brands but got photographed with team at ASI - and is now rumoured to be off to BKR. Menu has Subaru links via TCR. Yet in everything, Scott is confirmed alongside... James Cole? Debatable move, and juries out on Coles talent level, but the estate car shape means Cole, a keen musician, can store his guitars pretty neatly.

EUROTECH / HONDA CIVIC
Also known as: "The Honda's That Don't Win"

Depper / Smith / ???
3 new Civics for Eurotech, having purchased a TBL from Houseman Racing, with the good ol' boys Depper and Smith driving. Said to be in contact with three drivers for the final seat. Jack Clarke could become Honda Development Reject driver and join as Eurotech are in direct partnership with Yuasa. Ironically, following the news of Neate at Honda, Clarke has become just that.

CICELY RACING (WIX) / MERCEDES A CLASS
Also known as: "The Angry Wasp"

Morgan
Apart from a divisive new paint scheme, little change - Adam is still blonde, the car is still yellow, and he'll still run well.

SPEEDWORKS / TOYOTA AVENSIS - HONDA CIVIC
Also known as: "Putting Best Driver In The Slower Car Because Why Not".

Ingram / Simpson
Acquired another TBL to return to 2 cars. Ingram in the Toyota again, and hot rod racer Simpson in a Honda running under his own banner. Confusion over the chassis, was originally announced to be the 2015 title winning Shedden car but thats appeared alongside the car at ASI - maybe they used a spare shell?

AMD TUNING / AUDI S3
Also known as: "The FWD Audi"

Hamilton? / Hill? / Anyone Else With A Budget?
The 2014 Audi S3 soldiers on in classic Audi-themed livery for a full season after Nick Hamilton and Jake Hill drove last season. Both need £££ to continue, and no driver signed as of present. Shaun Hollamby team boss even said he may hop in if he can find no driver jokingly... or not? The teams Ford Focus got sold to Maximum Motorsport and with it the TBL. Bushell now confirmed returning to Clios, and tellingly no sign of sponsorship from Monster which means Hamiltons chances are dissapearing. So who else is even available? Abbott? Hill? Hawken? Wilmot? Hollamby indeed getting the gloves on again?

LASER TOOLS / MERCEDES A CLASS
Also known as: "The Mercedes That Thinks It's A Rally Car"

Moffat
Moffat returns, and much like stablemate, Morgan, nothings changed much except for a new sponsor (Butlers) and a new sexy blue. Thats gotta be worth a couple tenths right there.

WELCH MOTORSPORT / ???
Also known as: "The Little Engine That Couldn't"

Welch
One TBL, might be staying with a Proton chassis and selling the other - unknown if sticking with the engines they did have or going to Swindon power. Rumours were Hyundai, but choice of car still was being investigated. Protons, all 407hp of them (when they work) are up for sale... more on a possible home below...

TEAM HARD / TOYOTA AVENSIS
Also known as: "Formerly TeamRentADriver.Com, now Tonys Pastel Colour Fetish"

Smiley
One car, a Toyota, driven by a VW Series driver in his debut season. Expected pink and early concepts of the car did not dissapoint.

HANDY MOTORSPORT / TOYOTA AVENSIS
Also known as: "We Get The Fans To Pay For Our Repairs Racing"

Austin / Unused TBL
Belcher had originally confirmed himself driving at ASI and a second TBL with Rob Austin bringing his over having sold off part of RAR, and probably confused a lot of his Owners Club at the same time. Don't think that's the last we'll hear of it... Note the Austin chassis is a brand new build. Luke Hines was linked with 2nd seat originally. Now, Belchers decided to do the Lea Wood / Mike Jordan role and go into the management of the team, whilst the team has a second TBL but won't be using it after a deal for Abbott and making the team "RAR 2.0" fell through. WIll ToCA even allow a unused TBL? There are teams who have been reportedly after one...

PRO MOTORSPORT (S.O.P.R) / INFINITI Q50
Also known as: "The Unwilling Soldier"

Palmer / ???
Speculation is the teams second TBL won't be used after troubled 2015. Palmer confirmed. Seems 2016 is continuing the "Bad Publicity Is Our Publicity" trend by not even having paid shell suppliers for body parts yet. Something tells me they won't be around much longer. Second TBL more than likely going elsewhere as well.

MOTORBASE / FORD FOCUS
Also known as: "EcOPBoost Racing"

Jordan / Jackson
The trolls of 2015 return hopefully with a car that isn't ridiculous on straights and average everywhere else. Jordan brings the Pirtek backing with some chrome, Jackson signed after being according to Dave Bartrum "high priority" (Yup, "We're gonna sign him last minute for banter again"). Ash Sutton also tested it so probably means he won't get a seat for a while. Incidentally, the team almost had budget for a third car / TBL but since then Dave has settled on two car line up my sources tell me.

POWER MAXED / CHEVROLET CRUZE
Also known as: "The Midfielders"

Newsham? / Cook?
Cook isn't confirmed, but his facebook is pure banter. Newsham is looking for sponsors, because as Cook wrote, you don't want to sponsor a ginger. Ever.

PARKER RACING (DEXTRA) / FORD FOCUS
Also known as: "We Want ALL The Colours"

Martin
Martin confirmed. Hopefully they replaced the 10 year old who designed the 2015 livery. Team currently testing in Europe.

MAXIMUM MOTORSPORT / FORD FOCUS
Also known as: "The Other Other Ford"

Lines
Ex-AMD car as Lines moves his Clio team to BTCC, and with Motorbase form, the Ford might be car to have. Lines got the EcoboostOP engine now, so no longer has the wrong engine.

OTHER ITEMS:
Unless cancelled, the ex-Holland Audi S3 will have a spare chassis handy if AMD plans go ahead.

Richard Hawken - BTCC 2016 under construction he says - well time running out.

BONUS! - THE BTCC FEEDER SERIES:
Club level series for first gen NGTC cars that people either couldn't be bothered to, or afford to, upgrade. Eligible cars known in existence:

2x Protons - For sale with the Welch engines. Might be one actually - if chassis gets used for BTCC.

1x Toyota - From Houseman Racing assets, Eurotech could sell it.

2x Vauxhall Insignias - Originally cannibalised into Passats, now apparently fully rebuilt and present at the factory.

1-4x VW Passats - Unlikely to be seen again in BTCC, will either go back to the cars owners (not Team HARD or BMR), or be available. And knowing Warren, he'll enter 1 car minimum. First car to BKR Racing and ex HARD driver Kieran Gallagher.

3x Audi A4's - RAR cars. Sherman I, Sherman II, Panzer.

Two Toyota's for HARD - perhaps the unused RAR TBL?

Power Maxed line up announcement tomorrow.

is this confirmed? ive heard that the gilham car is last years and the other one is the lighter 2015 one they were building.

Well Smiley is confirmed at HARD. Asking about shells identity online gets you some winky faces like this ;) . And yes, hearing new shell for Smiley, the ex-Gallagher machine the Gilham car.

I'll do some digging so far ive heard it that the gilham one is the one tony raced in the last 2 rounds hence all the writing on the boot and smiley is the new build.

I've heard same.

Betting Cook / Smith at PMR.

So we know one car will be mid to back of the pack.

Whilst I dont necessarily disagree with that, I think that Hunter has been fighting an uphill battle the last two seasons at RAR because of out of date tech. In a current car, i like to think he will show a little more pace, in the same way he has had flashes of brilliance in some GT races.

For what its worth, i have relatively high hopes for Rob Austin this year, for the same reasons.
