Another marque has decided to reveal their new car inside out, this time Volvo's next XC90. Here is a shot of the dash:

Other shots were released as well.

Looks very good to me, especially that steering wheel. That larger-than-normal info screen also looks good. I just wish it had Saab cupholders- the type that fold out from the dash panel. Perhaps they've been patented.

I'm glad to see the XC90 finally get redesigned, as the current model dates back to 2003, older than any other normal production vehicle I can think of. The big Volvo has much potential.

The new interior is great. I'm wondering when they'll show the rest of it.

Hope all the Volvos look more like this. I can excuse the Chrysler look. Death to the Nokia waterfall.

God, Volvo has gotten back to making absolutely beautiful cars. If this looks anywhere near as good as the XC70, we're in good shape going forward.

That looks like a very nice place to be, I absolutely love the brown panels against the off-white trim. The lower center panel controls are a bit close to the shifter, though. It looks like they would be difficult to access.

Death to the Nokia waterfall.

Hey! Don't be hatin'. :P

The new Volvo's do have a much nicer interiors though, looking forward to see how their design language translates to the exterior.

I don't actually like that interior. I love the V40's interior, but the XC90's interior just doesn't look attractive to me.

Lose the plae coloured steering wheel and that is a fantastic interior.

Must be a British thing because I've never seen this color in a Crayola box and have no idea how to pronounce it. As far as I can tell they make floors for gyms.

Dyslexic typing... I meant pale... in other words, it would look better with a darker steering wheel :D

While obviously inspired by the concepts, it's still rather dull. Possibly because it's an SUV which is dull by nature, not the sporty coupe and hatch which the design language was pioneered for.

The side profile reminds me of... The old XC90.

The rear is rather nice, if rather reminiscent of the old one, but I don't like the front. I feel like it'd look a lot better if they got rid of the white bar that runs through the middle of the headlights.

I'd rather they keep a classic design and do it Porsche style. It's beautiful.

It looks great. Not that I see myself in the market for one in a long time, but if I were, this would absolutely be top of the class for me. It says something that, despite being one of the oldest vehicles on the market, the existing model shares so much with this new one, looks-wise. There's an inherent rightness here.

Also, the interior is incredible.

Could be a Geely with a Volvo badge, it's that bland and VW-esque. The old model looks far more distinctive, which was one of its best features. This is just another boring box.

I like it. Not sure whether I love it though. The rear lines are perfect, bold without being too fussy. But I don't think that language was translated to the front - it just goes a little too rounded for my liking. Still, at least it isn't overstyled and obnoxious like so many cars now.

I dig it, needs more Polestar on it though.

A Polestar SUV? I'm not sure how to feel about that, although it would be kinda cool to see it go up against X5M/X6M and the M63 AMG and whatever the Q7's high performance version is called.

I see a lot of Audi Q5 in the front, not sure about those taillights either.

But then again, the old XC90 wasn't much of a looker either. As long as its incredibly practical and well put together, it will do its job well.
