Because I'm going on the track after the race with my nice American flag.
 
That's a damn shame that it's a VIP thing. You paid to come to the track. The entire facility should be at your disposal. F1 tickets aren't cheap to begin with...

I only had some brisket mac n cheese and then some cowboy burrito which was okay.

General admission is quite cheap and allows you to basically walk around the whole track viewing different corners. My Haas Hill ticket was like $185 and gave access all 3 days with some free things as well.
 
There better be a bitchin' grilled cheese with bacon or something in it.

Where is Haas Hill exactly? And did you let you go into the pit area at all?

Haas hill Is the entry to turn 19 basically. There's hashtags painted on it.

I really hope they post the driver intros on the youtube channel... NBCs "wall to wall" coverage is letting us down here in the states
