Is the race really only 100 minutes long?
Regular season field is much smaller usually. Mind you, it's a hell of a lot better than the sorry excuse for GT fields that ELMS and the WEC put up. 9 GTE's and 16 GT3's, not bad. Next year we could have even more. Why the smaller GT fields? Just lack of track space?

Yeah and tracks that dont have limited pit space like LB and Detroit. So the big endurance races which are part of their own Tequila Patron Endurance Cup get larger fields? What else is left for that? 6H Glen and Petit Le Mans?
Porsche, Porsche, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Corvette, BMW, Ford, BMWReally?! Come on...
What is the currently standings in GTLM? Porsche on top?
Well don't forget those guys have ruled Long Beach for a few years now. They know their way around this track. Not really a surprise that they've got it right again.10 CAD has .6 on the rest of field, odd.
Torque is still king, and the big V8 is giving them a .3 advantage in the final sector which is turns 9-10 and the hairpin over every other P car.Well don't forget those guys have ruled Long Beach for a few years now. Well, it's a short race this week.Looks like AER found some speed with their Mazda engine now as well. Of course, that's irrelevant if they haven't figured how to not catch on fire, and time will tell if that was solved.
I even heard they forced the Cadillacs to have a longer first gear and that's not working eitherTorque is still king, and the big V8 is giving them a .3 advantage in the final sector which is turns 9-10 and the hairpin over every other P car.
