The 2017 Synology GT3 Championship takes us to Belguim for round 6 of the event, Zolder hosting in the afternoon sun before heading into a 2 week break. Both Eero Nomm and Jan Mleziva return this week after serving single race bans and Andy Tobutt takes up residence on the TMS Motorsport team replacing the retiring Rolf Just.

With 47 entries on the grid its bound to be another incident packed race as Barry Baird aims to defend the top spot in the drivers standings. Baird, driving for the Replace Base team takes a 21 point lead over Nomm after Sebring. Looking into the history books Baird starts his 52 race this time out, 4 wins and 5 poles to his name since joining BOSRA in October 2015. Neil Bamber leads the all time start records, the 83rd race of his career and over 70 top 10 finishes.

Zolder features for the 3rd time, previous visits in the 2016 GT3 Qualification event and the 2015 BMW Z4 & Mazda MX-5 Championship. Built in 1963, Zolder hosted the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix on 10 separate occasions in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as the 1980 Belgian motorcycle Grand Prix. F1 moved to Zolder in 1973 and with the exception of a race at Nivelles-Baulers in 1974, Zolder was the location of the Belgian Grand Prix until 1982. That year popular Canadian driver Gilles Villeneuve was killed during qualifying at the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix. After Villeneuve’s death, the Belgian Grand Prix was held at Spa-Francorchamps in 1983, before returning to Zolder one final time in 1984. Fittingly, Ferrari driver Michele Alboreto won the race carrying Villeneuve’s #27 on his car. Since 1985, the Belgian Grand Prix has permanently moved to Spa.

Bodin Solutions lead after Sebring while Seagate and Acorn Printing still have some work to do to climb up the standings. Racespot TV provide all coverage of the action each week on iRacing Live so make sure to tune in on the 14th March as we return at Watkins Glen for round 7.

After an incident filled opening 6 rounds of the 2017 Synology GT3 Championship, BOSRA return tomorrow following a 3 week break at Watkins Glen International.

Barry Baird leads Eero Nõmm in the drivers standings by just 4 points for the The Replace Base Ltd team while John Bodin lead the team standings overall.

The Driver of the Year standings now start to take shape having hosted the first Special Event of the year, Tony Baird taking a win at Brands Hatch Racing Circuit in the Radical.

As usual, all the coverage will come to you live from the excellent RaceSpot team thanks to our broadcast partner TMS Motorsport.

Join us tomorrow from 20:55 GMT on iRacing Live to follow all the action as it unfolds with the new updates rolled out last week.

BOSRA return to the 2017 Synology GT3 Championship this week after a break to accommodate our first Special Event of the year and the Week 13 updates by iRacing.

Barry Baird remains top of the drivers standings while Bodin Solutions sit just 4 points ahead of Bairds team The Replace Base Ltd. Last seasons team championship winner Acorn Printing really are taking a hammering this year, bottom of the standings with some work to do now to catch Seagate and Synology above them. TMS Motorsport currently sit 3rd, quietly behind the top two teams, but with just 13 points separating the top 4, its too close to call this early into the event.

Including the Radical Special Event, the Driver of the Year standings now start to take shape, showing the dedication of the top placed drivers moving to Watkins Glen this week.

The Watkins Glen International race course has undergone several changes over the years, with five general layouts widely recognized over its history. Currently, two distinct layouts are used - The "Boot" layout (long course) and the "1971 Six Hours" layout (short course). When the IndyCar Series returned to Watkins Glen starting in 2005, they elected to utilize the Boot segment. A full repaving of the course took place in 2015, and in recent years, a there has been a renewed interest and appreciation of the full Grand Prix Course layout. Consideration had even been made for NASCAR to start using the Boot.

Coverage of the championship is brought to you live by RaceSpot TV and iRacing Live, you can get up to date with all our events on the BOSRA YouTube Channel.

Round 8 of the 2017 Synology GT3 Championship takes place in the darkness and comes from Twin Ring Motegi, using the Grand Prix course layout.

The track name comes from the facility having two race tracks: a 2.493-kilometer (1.549 mi) oval and a 4.8-kilometer (2.98 mi) road course. It was built in 1997 by Honda, as part of the company's effort to bring the IndyCar Series to Japan, helping to increase their knowledge of American open-wheel racing. The road course is unique in sharing garage and grandstand facilities with the oval course, but being entirely separate otherwise. Although they are separate tracks, it is impossible for races to occur simultaneously on the two courses.

The circuit has appeared twice before with BOSRA, hosting rounds of the 2015 Aston Martin GT1 Championship and more recently, the 2016 Skip Barber Championship.

After Watkins Glen (rnd 7) many penalties were awarded in an attempt to stamp out the lap one incidents while Eero Nomm regained 1st place in the drivers standings. JayJay Rimmer moved an incredible 11 places after a 4th spot finish. Taking into account the penalties imposed, the team standings are largely unchanged, Bodin Solutions are still top while The Replace Base move into second ahead of TMS Motorsport in 3rd.

The event now starts to move close to a third of the way through the season, Nomm is looking unbeatable and if he continues to dominate will take a well earned place on a partner team for 2018. Connery Maddick and Jake Sparey take you through all the action on RaceSpot TV with coverage brought to you by TMS Motorsport.

A new venue for BOSRA this week as we travel to the world famous Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, the track is located near the Italian town of Imola, about 50 kilometers southeast of Bologna. The circuit is named after the Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari and his son Dino. Serious safety concerns followed several serious accidents over the years and the deaths of Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna in the 1994 San Marino GP, lead to modification to the circuit in an attempt to make it safer.

This challenging circuit will guarantee an entertaining race this week, there is also much anticipation for the fight in the team and drivers’ championships, which are constantly changing as we move to a third of the way through the season. Replace Base continue top of the team standings, TMS Motorsport move into second while Bodin Solutions drop two places coming into this weeks outing.

Ben Hackeson makes a change to the Synology McLaren for Imola, hoping to gain some ground on Eero Nomm and Tony Baird. Craig Parkes seems to have found some pace in the TMS Motorsport Mercedes while Neil Bamber continues fine form for Bodin Solutions. Both Seagate and Acorn Printing are dropping further behind, a surprise for last years team championship winners.

Enjoy all the action from Italy, coverage brought to you by TMS Motorsport on iRacing Live and Racespot TV before moving to round 10 and another new track on the calendar, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

This weeks race takes us 10 rounds in and a third of the way through the opening season of the Synology GT3 Championship. Eero Nomm has dominated the drivers standings with 5 wins to his name already, his nearest rival 64 points off the lead coming to Montreal.

The circuit lies on Notre Dame Island, a man-made island in the St. Lawrence River most of which was originally built up for World Expo 67. The circuit is open to visitors, between races, for walking, running, biking, in-line skating, and driving. During the few days of the F1 Grand Prix, Notre Dame Island is one of the noisiest places in Montreal. Other times of the year, it is one of the quietest, being located in the middle of a river, on an island filled with greenery and animals, joggers and cyclists.

Parkes recently made up ground on Nomm, the TMS Motorsport driver jumping into second place after Imola where 2016 Champion Ben Hackeson took his first win of the season. Despite the win, Hackeson takes a 15 point penalty after switching to the Synology McLaren MP4-12C. Acorn Printing managed to get 3 cars withing the top 30, Dilworth coming home in 8th will help the team climb back up the rankings with more points needed this week.

Ricky Green returns to BOSRA this week, taking a spot on the Bodin Solutions team after Martin Brandons retirement. Green has 60 starts with BOSRA and 9 top 5 finishes making him a worthy contender in the championship. With a number of privateers drivers withdrawing over recent weeks the admin team have opened up applications for new members to join us for the remaining 20 rounds.

With no less than 4 drivers switching vehicles, it should be a busy week on track. TMS Motorsport had a great outing at Montreal despite an early setback that allowed Eero Nomm to pull away, Craig Parkes drops to 4th in the drivers standings with 2016 championship Hackeson jumping 3 places for Synology into 3rd overall. Neil Bamber continues to impress in the Bodin Mercedes and Replace Base drop to 4th in the team standings. Seagate and Acorn Printing just cant seem to pull anything together team wise but individually we have seen great drives from Dilworth and Baird among others.

After a short break we return this week at Silverstone for round 12 of the Championship.

Tim Ryans performance at Monza was unmatched with Eero Nomm and the chasing pack wondering what they needed to do to catch the man from down under. Fortunately for them, theres no Ryan this week at Silverstone, just the news that Thrustmaster will be joining us from round 14 featuring our current leader Nomm with Mason, Page and Just for company on the team. Expect more exciting news coming from the admin team soon on what prizes Thrustmaster will be bringing to the event.

Arozzi had a great start to their campaign at Monza and will look to improve on the 16th place for Ringwood. TMS Motorsport are top of the team championship with a 33 point lead over Synology who move back above Bodin Solutions and Acorn Printing still rooted to the foot of the table.
