Just got home; missed a couple hours. What happened to one of th RCFs? They started out very strong behind the Ferraris.

Is that a flashing yellow warning light entering the bus stop? I hadn't seen it before, thought it was a caution at first.

71 team asked IMSA to black flag the car so that they could bring it into the pits. Pretty clever thinking there.

Yes, it's an arrow pointing to the chicane, and it also catches me out every single time there's a onboard... If memory serves, there was, or at least in years past, also one pointing to the first corner after the tri oval.

Jordan Taylor’s turn to have a right rear puncture. Continental isn’t making a good argument for teams in other series to switch to them.

That’s actually pretty common when they lose contact with the car.

The #66 Ford is 25 seconds ahead of the 2nd place #67 Ford which came back into 2nd place after a lengthy pit stop. And this is even after the yellow flag that bunched the field. How are they pulling away like this? This is also the second time the #66 had a 20+ second lead. I'm not being salty I'm really just curious. Even at the start of the race the Fords pulled an 8 second gap pretty quickly while the rest of the GTLM field was running in a pack together.

I think there still is one on the first corner aswell.

Clearly it's IMSA's GM bias at work! ...Wait that doesn't work.

I'm curious as well since I can't imagine the BoP is that off, in fact according to T&S the Ferrari has the current fastest lap.

Edit: Rain has arrived

Yep, both the first corner a well as the bus stop chicane have the yellow turn indicator lights.

Ahh it's all good, the Fords aren't sandbagging. It's all just good battling with 'Vettes at the moment (though I'd like the see the beemers up near the front). It's all just the "ebb and flow" of endurance racing really.

#66 ford overtaking prototypes and being faster then the raceleader? :odd:

This is why everyone is so excited about at the news that Michelin will be the tire supplier for the series going forward. Even with the advantage of the mechanical grip of a GT car, the Conti wets are just abysmal at best and are quite literally a handicap for the protos.
