IMSA stream is live, hopefully it performs better than Daytona.

The soccer announcer lady just finished her bit showing when the next matches are and literally said "racing is next".

Seriously? Just some "racing"? That right there shows the amount of thought an effort Fox Sports puts into motorsports. :(

I've heard racing commentators say "*insert sport* is next!" plenty of times without giving any specific details. I don't think it reflects whether or not the network cares, it just means they didn't give the other commentators any details.

That was an eventful first lap.

#2 Spun in turn 1 and both the #3 Corvette and a GTD Ferrari had left rear tire issues.

I think Pla has a future in D1 drifting :P Honestly though, to hold a prototype sideways around T1 like that without completely spinning it was super impressive. A shame the car seems to have other issues now.

I'm out here, will post vids and pics later. Even after years and years of coming to Daytona and Sebring it never ever gets old. Every year it's just as thrilling and exciting as the last.

The replay from the starter stand caught the moment the Ferrari went airborne. Scary stuff to go roof first into the wall like that. Good thing it wasn't open cockpit!

Back tracking to the start, what a save by Pla! He has such skill. Too bad the car is out.

They just highlighted some Forza championship. Ironically, I did an hour in Forza racing the Corvette at Sebring last night with GT and LMP2. Fun track, and makes me appreciate it so much more getting into it first-person like that!

I still haven't seen the footage of the Ferrari airborne. Just the prototype spinning and then I see the Ferrari in the tires. Anyone wanna make a gif of it real quick?

I edited it immediately after I posted it. Usually if you wait a minute or two before editing, it'll say when it was edited.
Edit: tree'd again.
Never knew that, cool.

Where is Paul Di Resta? I thoguht hew as just a news guy now for BBC, espsecially after his one off in the Williams F1 last year which was rather lackluster
