The most deserving drivers made the final 4. All I want to see every year is the guys who are leading the season long points racing for the championship and not someone who gets there by fluke. Hopefully Harvick or Busch wins it since they’ve been way ahead in the points all year. Still a joke system but if the driver with the most points wins at least it’s deserved.

Didn’t manage to see the race today but seemed like a lot happened. Never enjoy the last few races anyway since the playoff “drama” overshadows the on track racing

With his 9th place finish today, William Byron has won the Sunoco Rookie of the Year award.

This is his 4th Rookie of the Year award in as many years, also winning it in the K&N Pro Series East, Gander Outdoor Truck Series, and Xfinity Series.

One of the first NASCAR races I've sat down and watched in a long while (on the TV, despite them being here this weekend) and I found it generally enjoyable.

I like the simplicity of the points system, the elimination system, etc. Not entirely unlike the way short track racing does it every weekend.

I generally think that any system old/new will open itself up to "fluke" champions, but with this one, it ensures that the actions boils all the way down to the end of the schedule. I'd hate to be a track promoter/track that's at the end of the schedule and watch the series championships decided before they arrive. NASCAR's method ensures that all the sponsors, all the tracks, all the promoters and most importantly, all of the fans, know that something exciting is going to be happening when they go to that race. Especially those at the end of the schedule.

R.I.P. to a true legend and the greatest driver of all time. Here's his most memorable victory in my and probably everybody's opinion:

Many veteran NASCAR fans agree Pearson was the best. He had an incredible win ratio, was routinely craftier than Petty at Daytona, and an excellent road racer. My expert friend Stan agrees Daytona '76 was legendary, and maybe Daytona '74 even more so.

Fun video from Donut about some of the rules in NASCAR, Parker Kligerman and Bubba walace are featured in it and it talks a little bit about the 2019 package.

Wow. Just wow.

We just a mediocre as hell driver as our Xfinity champ.

What a ****ing joke.

Wouldn’t go that far, there’s a lot worse drivers out there, and he had an incredible drive last night and deserved to win that race, but champion? Not really.

Mediocre drivers managed to win the lower tier championships a few times even before the playoffs (cough) James Buescher (cough)

I'm moderately surprised Logano seems to have the upper hand. I figured he'd get wrecked by Almirola or Truex, and it may still happen that way.
