That Holland/Netherlands issue aside, India is also now eligible (except for residents of Nagaland, much like Arizona/Quebec for yore), meaning two new countries.
I looked up Nagaland as I'm not familiar with it in any way. It's such an odd place to exclude, out there on the border with Myanmar.

I personally like the online mode of Forza 7. A lot of rooms hosted on servers with different type of races and groups. In GT, i get three daily races and only peer to peer connection with often worse connection. They should hoste rooms like Microsoft.

But how full are all of these rooms on a daily basis? That’s the great part about GT, a full room of racers any time of day, just jump in and go. More than 3 races weekly would spread us out too much I think, we’d lose that full room on demand option that makes this game so great.

Wait, is Arizona finally allowed to participate and Arizonan drivers are eligible for S ranks now? I didn't see the "excluding Arizona" detail for this year.

Wow, you're right! I looked at all the info and am not seeing the Arizona exclusion anymore.

To answer your question, the rooms are good visited in daily races, too. Otherwise I wouldn’t took this out.

> S Rank only for 2020 World Finals competitors

So long, S Rank. I hardly knew ye. I only had you for one season.

On the other hand, at least I might not get absolutely reamed in the Toyota Series. I sucked at driving the Supra road car. And maybe they might finally re-release the Gr.4 Supra to go with the series.

I kind of figured they would do something like this with the S-rank eventually. It makes sense as the game nears it's end, that eventually the FIA series will stop and some people will be left with S-rank forever. It's fitting I suppose that the true "Star Players" will be the only ones to keep such a badge of honor.

I'm assuming that the popularity of online betting has impacted some of the laws that were preventing such things as GTS competitions in certain locales.

Remember that this is a top split room. Professional bargers.

All the action is late. Spent the first ten laps breaking away from the pack.

This has been going on for a few months now. Lack of consequences means there's repeat offenders in the top NA split who repeatedly pull dirty moves like this.

There's a few of us that have replays of grievances against us. People like me who make the back half of the top split, so rare cases when we do well there's a 50% chance we get pushed out of the way. Last year end I was fighting for a podium in one of the Manufactures top split races in a strong room (never happened before, prolly never will again), but got taken out on purpose :)

This is the discussion thread for a recent post on GTPlanet:

Probably just me but the format is rather confusing.

Doesn't really change my plans, though. Staying with Nissan for Manu but not trying super hard. I might do more Nations for a change of pace. If I somehow qualify for anything at all, I should buy a lotto ticket because of the sheer luck!

I've been away a while but I am starting to notice the newer troublemakers out there. (Un)fortunately, I am just not fast enough that I'll be involved with them on a regular basis. If anything, I do want to somehow stay in top split so I can watch the drama unfold.

It's not just you. I tried, but it is so complex.

Basically:
- Top 16 Nations from World Final race World Series 1 & 2
- Those players PLUS Top 16 from Online Phase 1 race World Series Showdown
- Top 16 from World Series Showdown race World Series 3 & 4
- Those players PLUS Top 16 from Online Phase 2 race World Final
- WS1/2/3/4 & Showdown all award points for WF

- Top 12 individual players from each manufacturer from World Final race World Series 1 & 2
- Top 12 Manufacturers, three players each, from Online Phase 1 race World Series Showdown
- Top 12 individual players from each manufacturer from World Series Showdown race World Series 3 & 4
- Top 12 Manufacturers, three players each, from Online Phase 2 race World Final
- WS1/2/3/4 & Showdown all award manufacturer points for WF

There's some additional caveats for people who drop out, etc., but that's pretty much the deal.

The only thing I understand is that none of this is anything I need to worry about.

There should not be a Holland/The Netherlands issue (very well observed btw) Holland is an alternate name for The Netherlands but it only applies for 2 provinces. There are no laws like in Quebec and Arizona that prohibit us from playing that could be made on a provincial level. So don't worry I will be there

The part I don't quite understand is why should competitor selection for these events have anything to do with the results of the 2020 season? As that season concluded 5-7 months ago.

It just seems pretty silly to me that someone from the 2020 World Final could qualify for the 2021 World Final without doing a single online season race.
