The Corvettes I will admit thought they'd have struggles (being a converted GTE car and all that), but not to this extent .BMW Team RLL meanwhile, good lord. Didn't even know they were in the race, and not even in the top 10 when it was all said and done. LMP3 is also a bit of a wash, cause the Andretti lads seem to be the masters of Daytona this year with only 2 cars on the lead lap in 90 minutes.

Maybe it's been said but I missed it, will the 24 be on free Peacock or one of the paid tiers?

This past weekends qualifying race was locked behind the $4.99 pricing tier. I would expect that the portions of the race exclusively on Peacock will also be blocked by the paywall. If you sign up for the free tier, you can see what programs are available and which ones are not available unless you pay. I signed up for the $4.99 tier so it no longer specifies for me.
It should be noted that the entire event will also be viewable on Peacock from start to finish.

Thanks for that bit of info at the end! I thought I was gonna have to bounce around on 4 different “channels” this weekend. 🍻

It’s listed on the app as 4 separate events so we may have to switch between them as the race progresses, but that’s much easier than swapping back and forth between channels and streaming services.

It seems the night portion will be very interesting, especially when it's time for new tires.

Full course yellows will be interesting too. It's going to be almost impossible to keep heat in your tires cruising around behind the safety car. Can they stay up on the banking at safety car speeds on cold tires?

The Mazda's are having a very tough time keeping on track right now, thankfully most have been solo spins.

I didn't even think about cautions, I'd imagine if we get a longer one during the night brake temp. could also be a concern.

For all the jokes we make about sandbags in race cars....that Miata literally just dropped a sandbag on the track
Obviously not placed there pre-race, but still hilarious to see nonetheless.

Ford is announcing something tomorrow, guessing it's the rumored Mustang GT3 program.

***Ford has scheduled a press conference for Friday at 10 a.m. ET, which is set to confirm a new program within sports car racing.

Would also imagine the Mustang GT3. LMDh could still be possible in the future but not likely to be announced now. But maybe we get a surprise.

MX-5 racing is outstanding. Just shows how much downforce ruins modern motor racing.

Both MX-5 races are on IMSA YouTube site. First one is great, second one is interrupted by yellows to collect drivers from a couple of big crashes.

Here's a breakdown of the weather for the overnight portion.

Edit: In case you were wondering what the record for coldest is.

Greetings fellow forumers! :gtpflag: I'ts that time of the year again.

Came across this when looking more info for this years Le Mans 24h:

BMW providing the safety cars. :D:cool::D

We have a car reversing on the pit exit.

The #18 LMP2 reversed out of pit lane, that seems like foreshadowing to me.

Greetings, GTPlaneteers! :) The 2022 24 Hours of Daytona about to go. Enjoy the race! Let's get it!

We are green... and Vautier has already fought the #5 Caddy to the front of the DPi pack! A few battles also developing in GTs...

Just over 6 minutes in and we already have a puncture for the #54 CORE Autosport Ligier in LMP3.

Jump start penalty for Falb in the #69 G-Drive Aurus (LMP2 leader).
