What a hideous bunch of liveries we have this year. Merc after a run of decent ones has had a shocker. Haas, I wonder where the money is coming from . That Aston green just looks wrong on a modern F1 car, that colour is so famous from cars of old and GT cars that it looks out of place in modern F1, maybe it'll grow on me. The Alpha brings back memories of the Labbats Cossie which I liked back in the day but it's 2021. The Red Bull, Mclaren, and Alfa are still inoffensive if a little dull. The Williams is a disgrace, they have had many iconic liveries I have loved over the 40 years I've watched F1 and this is an insult to those. Not expecting anything vastly different from Ferrari. That Alpine though  the best looking by a country mile. Can't wait to see it under the lights.

I've always thought the Haas cars looked a bit bare anyway so can't say it grabbed my attention how few sponsors there are on it. I don't mind the livery despite not liking the reasons why its been made to look like that.

That Williams just makes me feel sad however, the livery looks like one of the My Team liveries from F1 2020, more so with the even larger amount of free space on it after last years revised look. I'm surprised they haven't even got an Umbro logo on there like they did for the British GP last year when the deal was announced. I'm just hoping that there won't be a further announcement that a notorious CEO of a certain Energy Drink company is coming back to sponsor them.

Is it the traditional French Racing Blue?
I'd say it's a little more metallic than that. Old Alpine's used to be a more Mediterranean sea blue with the newer cars much darker and a little more metallic. This is the same darker blue but a touch more metallic.

Rumor is Binitto is out as tp. It doesn’t make much sense to me but then again this is Ferrari were talking about.

Not only the old Alpine, but also the Gordini and Bugatti. Not to mention a Matra.

Did he have an argument with William Storey?

The 2021 live position/timings tracker is going to be horrific with the little colour strips. Mercedes will still use that Petronas turquoise, Red Bull will be the not-quite-indigo blue, Alpine will be French Blue, AlphaTauri looks set to be midnight/navy blue, and Williams a sort of royal blue. Then Haas and Alfa Romeo both on either white or red, and Ferrari in red.

At least McLaren and Aston Martin should be easy to spot at a glance.

While not great by any means. I'm trying reserve my judgement of the Williams livery until we see some proper images of it. It might look better in action.

Well, maybe...

This is the original Apline bleu, as you say later cars had a much darker blue.

EDIT: Re-Binotto... nothing in the Italian press or F1 sites this morning, I'm not sure it's legit

*According to Alpine on their website, at least

They've been back for a long time by now now of course but I don't know how to feel about having incompetent Ferrari back. It's like it's the early 90s all over again. It took Michael Schumacher handpicking his own staff that dragged Ferrari out of the doldrums then and I don't know whom they could possibly poach to do the same thing now. The only comparable situation that would work is if Lewis Hamilton went to Ferrari and took all of Mercedes' key technical staff with him and that isn't going to happen notwithstanding that Hamilton is approaching the final quarter of his career unlike Schumacher in 1996.

Verstappen, Newey and Andy Cowell? Would that work.

Verstappen would be the most likely bet, sure. I'm a big Verstappen fan but I'm unsure if he would be able to do it though. Cowell is at least unemployed by an F1 team, as far as I know.

Reports are that Kral has said his comments were misinterpreted and that he does not believe Binotto has been sacked. It was an incredible story, even by Ferrari's shoot-yourself-in-the-foot standards.

AKA "Please don't sack me".

It was a bizarre thing to say. The Italian media watch every move of Ferrari like hawks, if there was even a whiff of this happening they would've been reporting it, not a driver from a non-factory GT team.

I was thinking that sounded a little too much like a "My uncle who works at Nintendo Ferrari says that..." sort of thing. Someone in that high profile of a position isn't going to just be dismissed quietly by any team, let alone Ferrari.

Williams claim their app was "hacked", when from what I've read the files were downloaded by the app on installation and not too difficult to find. It was **** design actually, a sad hallmark of recent Williams efforts.

I just got a great idea for a F1 livery. How about mixing a blue(ish) color with Black elements?

Welp, another F1 team have had their launch photos leaked by images hidden on their website. This time, the time locked launch was defeated by someone setting their clock forwards a few hours... :boggled: Ferrari are the unlucky team this time.

I'm guessing the green is the tie in with Rich Energy?

Can't recall the last time there was green on a Ferrari.... was it when TicTac sponsored them?

This is lowkey cursed

Drop the green, paint the rest of the car to match the rear shade of red (similar to the Mugello livery last season).
