With the 2025 season approaching, teams are starting to reveal information about their cars. Some teams are going to Shakedowns, while all teams will appear at the F1 Season Launch at the O2 Arena in London on the 18th of February to launch their liveries at minimum.

Please use this thread to post any photos or discussion about car launches for 2025.

The new McLaren MCL39has done it's first shakedown at Silverstone in a camo livery.

Subtle changes throughout until the rear of the sidepods which look more bulbous and the rear wing which has a very distinctive looking V shape than wasn't prevalent on the MCL38.

Williams have also now done their first shakedown. This is not the race livery, which will be launched next week.

I guess I'm a Williams fan now that Atlassian has jumped on board as title sponsor. I think it's great that an Australian-based IT firm is providing significant financial backing and technology to assist Williams in it's quest to move up the grid. This is going to be a big year for the team and I hope they can deliver some much-needed results.

The camera focusing on Flavio Briatore during the Alpine segment has been my favorite part so far.

What on earth happened to Red Bull? All that build up about car culture, car came out & went right back in without a single word, lol.

I think VCARB may have presented the best livery given the top teams clearly stuck with what represents their brand & sponsors the best. Although, I do like the Ferrari the most out of the top 4.

As bad as I expected this event to be, I was actually pleasantly surprised. Fun show, had some good laughs (some a bit cringy, but generally funny). Definitely beats the boring corporate talk we normally get at team events.

I've seen a bunch of people call the whole show cringy, but I wonder if any of them have ever seen a team launch event before.

VCARB looks amazing
Alpine is a horrid clash of colors
Ferrari doesn't work with the chunk of white on the side
Mercedes is mostly the same, but looks a bit better with the red at the top removed
Aston Martin has too much black on the sidepod, and a weird splotch of white at the top
Stake Sauber looks decent with a bit more green on the front, but doesn't look as great from the side
Williams looks pretty good with the new shade of blue

Red Bull, Haas and Mclaren are barely different

Wouldn't be surprised if this is the start of a Max protest with him not talking any more than he is absolutely required to do

As bad as that was, I still think that looks better than what they presented now
Hard agree to disagree, then. Red, white, yellow, with big blue spots doesn't contrast well when you can tell the designers didn't intend for HP to show up on the car.

I know that modern F1 cars are little more than mobile advertising boards, but ye gods have Ferrari gone to town. No design, they've literally just slapped as many stickers onto the car as they can with no thought to style or uniformity.

Let's be honest, too many stickers is a good problem for a team to have

Be interesting to see how much of this colour actually makes it to the grid.

VCARB looks decent, Mercedes is clean, the shade of green on the Aston looked great in that lighting and I have to say I really like the Ferrari.

Alpine, bleurgh, not a good look. Everyone else, mid.

It's not like everyone is ever gonna agree on what looks good anyway 😅

I've already seen several people call the Alpine beautiful, which I think looks horrid. To each their own 🤷‍♂️
I will say I'm not crazy about the white on the spoiler & would've preferred a carbon Ferrari like we saw last year. But, I get there's a sponsorship agreement in place & the HP logos would've looked awkward on a carbon black spoiler.

But hell, season hasn't even started. Half these liveries could literally peel away in place of more carbon (though I read the FIA had reportedly met with the teams about this issue on Reddit).

I agree with you, and it'll help the coffers remain full, but there are ways to display them, and then there's this - letting the kids loose with the safety scissors and the sticker book?

Ferrari did a better job last year, and Red Bull/Mercedes do a much better job of it full stop - making the logos smaller and with much tidier positioning.

Let's hope so, but I'm not holding my breath until there's an actual written rule stating how much of the car needs to be painted. I'm still expecting a significantly blacker grid come Australia

Unpopular opinion. Alpine actually is pretty good. I give them points for at least being willing to do something different from previous years unlike a lot of the others.

I guess I'm in the minority that thinks the VCARB livery isn't that interesting. The Red Bull logos plastered on the airbox and nose look out of proportion compared to RBR's cars and pull too much attention, and the dark blue that's supposed to represent Visa is more like an afterthought that's barely visible compared to how much Cash App dominates the rest of the car. If anything it looks more like a knockoff of the Honda tribute livery RBR did a couple years ago, just more cluttered.

As far as Ferrari goes, if the wings didn't have the white parts on them it wouldn't be quite so awkward, but I get why it's there since HP is supposedly kicking in like 2/3rds of their budget cap so of course their corporate colors get priority. I'll take it over that awful gradient or the neon green "It's not tobacco advertising, honest" logos we've seen in the past.
