I'll be shocked if that isn't a drive through since the 4 was the Vette involved in the scrap earlier.

EDIT: 4 gets a drive through the moment I post.

Welp, congrats to Porsche and Nick Tandy, glad it wasn't the Jam-it-in car. Glad to see Seb Priaulx on the podium for Ford if it couldn't be KvdL. I'm not that disappointed about the GTP Bimmers, they did better than I thought they would. Good race.

And earlier, guessing BMW was squeaky clean there?
The #1, yes. The #48 I don't think deserved a penalty at the point he got one, but then double-down, which was clearly wrong. I don't buy the #4 HAD to smack into the #1 and then run him off out of the corner - cars get boxed in behind slower cars countless times in this race without veering left and hitting their main rival... so I'm (ultimately) not quibling the Farfus penalty, but I think Milner deliberately hit De Phillippi because he was mad - hence the finger for Farfus.

Bottom line #1 did nothing wrong so that fact you think they should get punted because a different BMW did something says you don't care about what's fair or not.

With the win, Tandy has now won overall at the 24 hours of Daytona, the 24 hours of Le Mans, the 24 hours of Nurburgring, and the 24 hours of Spa. That's impressive right there.

Caught the "highlights" so to speak of the last few hours as I had to go to work, and overall I'd say that this was another really fun and really good Daytona 24. Definitely a solid and encouraging start to the IMSA season this year.

I wasn't really pulling for a Porsche victory in GTD, but with the levels of attrition that were on display, Team Penske ultimatley operated at the highest level, and I'd say that's what got them the win more than outright speed. Props to MSR Acura for securing P2 today as well. While I was surprisingly gutted for BMW in GTP, I'd say they should be happy with how the race as a whole went. Even with the favorable BoP taken into consideration, the M Hybrid V8 and its crews performed very well overall, and did have an honest shot of taking the win. I honestly think that BMW can pick up a victory or two this year, and may very well be a threat for at least one of the championships if they can keep this performance up.

I admittedly didn't pay as much attention to LMP2 as I would've liked, but for the most part the level of crazy that normally comes from the class seemed to be toned down this year, which led to some solid racing overall. Congrats to Tower Motorsports for their win.

GTD & GTD Pro looks like they'll be a very exciting class to follow if today's result is anything to go by. Ford and Chevy will have to be very, very happy with their results in both classes today., espescially considering where their new GT3 cars were last year. That being said, I was very disappointed with the last-minute antics of Paul Miller Racing, though. I'm not of fan of on-track retaliation, but the move by the #4 Corvette was imo 100% deserved. I'm interested to see what IMSA says on this incident, as that could set a precedent for the rest of the season, especially if this BMW-Corvette rivaly continues to heat up. Happy to see AWA get a win in GTD. Nice to see them go from a double-DNF last year to a class victory.

All-in-all, another great Daytona 24 in the books. Eager to see what Sebring brings us in March.
